I like the SNK covers in general because they often tried to show something special. My favourites are KOF 96, Real Bout, Samsho 4, Fatal Fury 3 and MOTW. I also like the fantasy-style covers of Magician Lord and Crossed Swords.
I like the cover art to KoF '99. I think the back is cool, where it shows both Iori and Kyo (who's in his newer outfit). Something about the horizontal lines gives it a unique flair.
I'm curious, how're the american versions different. To this day I haven't noticed a difference.
The best cover art in my opinion is the Japanese cover of Fatal Fury (and the American version wins my award for worst cover art). The Japanese FF has attitude unmatched by any other game -and all they used were close-ups of the 3 main characters eyes.
I Agree with Bobak. The american cover is by far the WORST artwork for any NEO COVER. Probably worse than the american Street Fighter Alpha WD. What are these companies thinking when they give us this CRAP? WE DO CARE!!!
is shit. Does not do those games justice at all. If I were in a store and I bought the game on the cover art alone, I would've missed out on two very cool games.

Phantasy Star Online 2001.30.01
A simple formula
Phantasy Star + Sonic Team + Online = No life and no regrets.
At the moment I think Fatal Fury Real Bout Special has the best insert. That metalic silver ink just pops. Other than that, Blazing Star is one of the best looking.
