RBFF2 or RBFFSpecial

Hi Guys.

I am contemplating buying either Real Bout Fatal Fury Special or RBFF2.
Both are available to me for the same price and are in the same condition.

I've not played either.


Which should I go for?

I personally think Special is the better game, feels more complete.

2 is a bit faster though than Special.

If you are purchasing MVS carts with perfect labels, I would choose Special because you don't see it that often with the label intact.
As far as quality of the game,RB2 is a must. Special seems like a graphically upgraded REAL BOUT to me with less moves.

RBFFS is my fav neo fighter, great quick fighting action :chimp:

Wow, I expected way more RBFF2 support than this...
Anyways, I made a similar decision awhile back and went with RBFF2 over Special, and although there are times that I yearn for Special's greater presentation (more win poses, stage intros, etc.), RBFF2's gameplay more than fills that void. Both are great games though.

It appears that the decision has been made for me though as he's gone and sold the special.

RB2 it is, then! :)

RBFFS is awesome! and I am very good at playing as Terry Bogard and I beat Wolfgang Krauser on a higher setting too. ;) :cool:

RBFFS is realy the easiest of al fatal furys, you sould really try ending it without loosing a round and fighting geese. have 700.000 points before finishing krauser.

Geese Howard is in Real Bout Fatal Fury Special?. :eek: I have the MVS version. The game has blood in it too. :drool: :cool:

RB1 = great Gameplay, nice Backgrounds and BGM, but these Out of Ring gets on my nerves. You can pick it up for less Money!

RBS = same as for RB1, but better Graphics and Combos at all.

RB2 = The One and only! It´s the BEST BEMU behind Garou:MotW on the Neo-Geo! The Combo-Engine has been modified. All Moves are more difficult to handle and the Gameplay is much better than in the Real Bouts before!

Go and get your personal RB2: The Newcomers! ;)


@Shawn Carr2o: SURE it is! You can even play him! Go and search the Threads. You´ll find a Description how you can select him in Versus-Mode! ;)

Yeah, I always felt that 2 was the best. Special is great too though. Can't go wrong either way. I guess I know what I need to buy for my cab :rolleyes: .

Yup. I like both of them, but for me I noticed on the NGCD RB2 moves alot faster since it loads all at one time. But RBFFS kicks ass.

So basically, what poeple are saying is that I should get Special as well as 2. :)
