Just how far do we take our love of a game or character? Maybe some of us buy a t-shirt, draw pictures of our favorite characters, create web sites, and a wide range of other things one can imagine. Just how far is too far though? Anyone ever gone that extra mile to show their fandom? If so what?

My best story, or worst depending on how you look at it dates back to the days tekken 3. I was so impressed with one character and liked his costume that I took a pair of my pants and had the local air brush guy in the mall paint big flames up one leg. Naturally I had to wear those to the arcade every weekend. Thats where I met an even bigger fan. Playing my favorite game at the time, a fellow walks up and tells me how great he thinks my pants are. He then jumps in to challenge me and we throw down both using the same character. Ending with my beating he rolls his truns and shows me his arm and has a tattoo of the same symbol on his arm that the character in the game has.

Impressive I thought at the time. Though now it seems kind of funny.

Once you hit 20 posts we come to your house and give you the official neo-geo.com brand with a hot branding iron.

I have never met anyone from any of our get togethers among the PA/NJ/VA/OH/NY crew that was over the top in their neo infatuation, everyone in person was as normal as can be, except Jon and his Sailor Moon Beat Em UPs :make_fac: but he's a good guy otherwise :glee:

Plenty of folks create whole costumes of their favorite video game or anime character and wear then to various cosplay or anime conventions. I would never take my love of a game that far though. Getting a tattoo of any video game is a pretty extreme move. I do remember a guy in collgege who had the classic Mortal Kombat dragon logo tattooed on his forearm. :-\

lol when I read this I had a bizarre picture in my head of you wearing your airbrushed y-fronts over your trousers to the arcade, kinda like superman! Then I realised you're American!

If you want to see some serious neo geo fandom then check out the neo geo tattoo thread on here.
