I was just contacted by Wolfgang; who seems to still have his Euro/PAL Kizuna Encounter AES up for sale.

I had thought this copy was purchased?

Anyone care to shed some light on this?

Thanks,
Kenny

It's way too pricey and do you think people will buy this game for $15,000?

Another assumption is that people are bluffing to get this game and then end up nobody buys it.......

He decided to keep the game time ago.
I emailed him now and he asked 10000 euros, around $11000 but he was not sure about the price.

Laurent and others tried to buy but he didn't sell it in the past weeks.

10000 Euro for KE? You must be crazy or what. Yes, I'm poor and you are rich. Go and buy this fuckin game from Wolfgang. If you can't afford it then shut up. Wait until you get this game and then point finger at me, right in my face, and say "you can't afford any game more than $30".

If you are willing to pay $100 for Ninja Combat, go for it.

"AES game is so fuckin expensive in Europe...bla bla bla..."

I'm just a poor guy live in US and don't have EURO purchasing power to buy expensive AES game from Europe. I'm sorry and I'm just a beggar.

I'm poor, but if someone wants to buy a game for that price (which is scary) then they can. I don't go around telling them they should get laid more and get a life. I mean, we're all here because of our interest in gaming, right?

How do we know it's not fake? That's a lot of money for a cart. If I am gonna pay that much I will fly to Europe and meet him personally just so I could inspect the cart. Of course, I would like other things better for that kind of money!

it was pretty much verified by Shawn as kosher when it was first listed for sale, I think.

I guess like anything, an object's only ever worth what people are prepared to pay for it. I mean, a Rembrandt's only a bit of canvas with some paint on it, but it doesn't stop people paying huge sums of money to own one. Eye of the beholder and all that, innit.

Fran, sorry for my bad temper.
I wish I can afford Breakers coz I love that game so much.

Video game is just a hobby and I know there are many crazy folks who spend lots money into it.

I've spent countless money in video game but I know my limit. 9000 Euro + is way too much and I'm sure Wolfgang knows he owns a piece of treasure which will make him a fortune if he decides to sell it.

Unfortunately he asks "too much". If he let it go at 7000 Euro then he might find some buyers but definitely not 9000 Euro. Market trend and supply/demand make him a bit greedy.

Right now he just has that face-value of 9000+ Euro item in hand and that's about it.

I hate to sound like a jackass, but, he offered this about a month ago, then he changed his mind. A month would give somebody a decent amount of time to create a complete conversion. Yeah the quality wont be the same (ie insert and manual) but you wouldn't know until you finally received it. $10,000 is enough motivation for anyone to make a boot. Especially since he already has the original. Buyer Beware!

Escrow service! Anyone serious enough to spend the asking price would probably also be well-versed in verifying original, SNK-quality parts.

Sorry NBM,

I didn't mean to sound harsh, it's just that there is so much going on now with people selling boots. It just seemed odd to me that he came on the scene with it, put it up for sale, then basically disappeared for a month. The majority of the people just assumed it was sold since there was no further mention of it. I was just stating this because since he had established the authenticity of ownership of a legitimate Euro KE, there may be someone out there so excited to get the game they might not stop to think about this. Doesn't it seem weird that he is contacting people on an individual basis through email instead of posting an auction? Or could it be that this is someone who may have had a store at one time and could have more than 1 copy of EURO KE when he found out that they were SUPER DUPER RARE. This way he can keep getting astronomical offers from those that think it's the only 1 available. Just a thought. I just don't want to see one of my fellow board members getting ripped off, whether it's $10,000 or $10.

Neo Bomber Man is right. Just use escrow and have it verified by Shawn.

No, not at all! I'm just saying, people who would be spending 5-figures on a cart would probably be serious enough collectors that they would have already had a lot of NGH in their hands so unless they were a complete numbskull they should be able to identify fake/real parts upon inspecting it. And then there's the benefit escrow brings to the table. If someone really needed Shawn's or anyone's help on the matter though they should probably revoke their offer and keep that money warming their asscrack.

If he's actually got a bunch and is making a shitload of money off them all, a)congrats for Wolfgang and b)I'm sure wind of such would leak out to the masses much like any information on-line.

The point overall is that when you've got a 40 carat diamond in your hand and you know it, you will never act normally. :)

That's true NBM,

I never thought about it like that. Nowadays the seller has to be just as cautious as the buyer. Hell, no one wants to get fleeced.
