Say I'm wanting to play World Series Baseball and Virtua Tennis on Naomi GD-ROM on my Naomi 1 board with a bios that supports GD-ROM games, would a .NET DIMM board allow me to do this? With a GD-ROM drive of course.

Thank you very much!

Hopefully soon I'll finally be able to play one of the games I bought a Naomi for... WSB. This is one expensive game to setup. :D

Funny I just sold the game without the pannel, I still have the sticks, bats levers & JVS 2 button wiring set-up, was hoping to use the sticks for Zombie revenge, but was getting to tough to convert to non jvs so gave up, might get it up on the bay at some point, or keep cus maybe 1 day I might get a uni.

Is JVS the optical joystick?

How does this wire up? How do the bat swings register? Do they connect by usb or something else?

Oh I get you, JVS is the Naomi cabinet wiring system.

I'm doing this supergun-like, so I'm building a small box that I can interchange the panels into and run them through db-15s to a jamma harness from the I/O.

After the joysticks are connected to the harness, where is the harness wired to? Sega I/O? If these control panels don't use a jamma interface I can just throw another connector in my console to allow that data to be transfered.

Those sticks show me why when I've played WSB in the arcade, the sticks have been so smooth in motion with no noticeable clicking. (talking about the small gears smoothing the motion)

I'll have to research this JVS.

If they do not run to an I/O, then do they run straight to the motherboard?

Somehow these connector wires eventually interface with the Naomi, but I just need to find where. Then I can just extend those lines through a cable and use it like normal.

I count 3 wires coming from each bat, probably using a potentiometer with one wire ground, one Vcc, and one the output analog signal from the pot.

How many wires coming from the joysticks? Are they digital?

Not to the mobo either, only a JVS pannel, 4 wire connector, but 2 of the slot in them have 2 wires going into them, so really 6 wires, the batons & sticks are both analogue.

Ok, I think I figured out the wiring...

http://www.seuservice.com/manuals/World Series 2001/WorldSeries2001main.html

Checkout the upright full wiring diagram in the manual. It shows the analog inputs going into a 26pin connector. The connectors circled in red are 26pin connector and the one on the Sega Version 2 I/O is labeled "Analog". Is the 26pin connector on the Version 1 I/O also analog? It would only make sense...

Where can I find the cable that connects to this 26pin input?

Well, I just compared the pins to a floppy ide cable and the spacing is spot on... I'm going to dremel down a floppy cable tomorrow night (too damn cold out right now)and see if I can get the right sized connector.

Now, I just need to find the female(?) versions of those wiring harness connectors coming off of the joystick, bat, and buttons...
