I bought a very nice little mini-MAK supergun that's like a PCB 6cm by 15cm, with scart, 2*controllers, power in and headphone socket. It also has 6 hard DIPS.
Haven't seen baseley09 around to ask him about these things:
What do the hard DIPS do? There are only 6 of them. Do they correspond to 6 of the 8 hard DIPS on the board? (I know what these 8 do) If so I don't know which they correspond to..... I think 5 or 6 was sound on/off. Obviously I can just flick each one and see what happens, but I was hoping someone already has this info. Because one turns sound on/off I think they are just switches for some functions of the pinout, but I'd like to know which!
(Intrestingly, with them all switched to on, it removes attract mode. I haven't seen this happen before - the games just went straight to the title screen with no intros. When I cycled through the games, same thing - straight to intro)
How do they get the JAMMA pinout to produce sound at the right level for a scart lead? I have the volume slider low on the Motherboard, and it seems to work. I would have thought any amplified signal through the Scart lead would screw my TV or get really distorted (after 2* amplification)
I am using it with a 4 slot with JAP BIOS.
