I was browsing eBay to see if there are any good cabs listed near me. I found this listing.
http://cgi.ebay.com/NEO-GEO-NEO-GEO...227823919QQcategoryZ13716QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

What are some people thinking when they do an MVS conversion!?!?:oh_no:
It makes me....:crying:

At least the staring bid is fair...only $0.01 and about a day left on the auction. Maybe I should buy it and put it out of its misery. Or, tell them I only want the 1-slot that's in it.:kekeke:

Wow, that's just shameful. They couldn't even be bothered to install all the buttons. :oh_no:

Any idea what that was before this? I can't really tell.

Looks like it could have been an NBA Jam Cab. However, it doesn't have the correct marquee under the Neo marquee to be an NBA Jam cab. It was originally a 4 player cab.

Street Slam only needs two buttons...I don't see a problem.

No where near the worst conversions around.

I've actually bought stuff from that seller and drove down to his shop. The thing is he gets a lot of games, maybe bulk lots of stuff like that in different deals and anything he can't use goes up for sale starting at one cent. Really if a guy is within driving distance the chance to pick up somthing like that cheep is pretty cool I think. It looks crappy, but if everything works and you get a deal on it, hey thats cool.

True ... I was thinking more along the lines of defeating the purpose of having swappable carts, sort of. I could definitely visualize a Gauntlet in that ... haven't seen too many in person but that fits what I remember.

I couldn't even take that cabinet for free, let alone for $450 shipped to my house :-p

It would ugly up my nice living room.

definetly a gauntlet cab. I love my dad, and appreciate his work, but i recognize this cab from the TMNT conversion he did to it. Friggin right handed playing. Not a bad cab though, buy it, strip it, and make it into something else. Comfy with all that arm resting room.

I guess someone got a good deal on it. The auction ended at $102.50. The monitor and 1-slot motherboard are worth more than that. Lets hope they didn't have to pay the asked $350 shipping fee for being too far away from Atlanta.:kekeke:

Anyone find more horrible or just plain crappy cabs? Amuse us....

Here's another one that was converted from an environmental Discs of TRON cabinet. eDoT has to be the coolest game in the world so converting one of these is a sin in itself.

The side view:

eDoTs look like this:

sDiscs_Of_Tron.jpg

Basically a one player stand in cabinet with openings on both sides. The guy converted it to a 2-player Neo Geo and to make things worse, he closed off one end so two people had to cram into the cabinet to play. I guess throwing elbows at each other is essential when playing KOF.

This has to be the most unique, worst conversion ever, while the cybersled conversion is the most unique best conversion:

An arcade near where I live has this awful conversion. It had Bust a Move and one of the Magical Drops. The joysticks only went left and right, hahaha. He let me look inside at the board (4 slot) and I've never seen another Neo board like this one. It was GIGANTIC! The average person would think it was some 60's super computer...

Interesting. :spock: You know it might not be all that bad to game on...each player has their own monitor.

Hmmmmm......

Although that dual monitor/seat conversion doesn't look like it was executed that well, it surely seems like it could be an amazing setup if done right.

I'm going to attempt something like this with two identical cabs when I get the chance.
