New Mas Mini Stick-I think I'm disappointed

Ok, I was really excited to get this. They took those cheesey unicorn graphics off of it for me and acted like it was a big deal. That delayed delivered by about a week and a half.

Whatever, it didn't bother me. I didn't mind waiting, I just wanted it done right. But it wasn't. Check out the lower right hand corner, you can see the naill or brad popping out of the wood.

It looks like shotty workmanship to me (it actually looks better in the pic.) Beyond that, it looks put together well and plays well. But for $100, it SHOULD BE PERFECT. So tell me, am I being anal? Should I send it back and tell them to do it right? :help:

I am debating whether or not to buy one of those, or just a get a Hori stick instead.

I dont like the way the cable is being pinched at the back either. Kind of a ghetto workmanship there.

100$? Be anal about it. It doesnt cost them more than 10 in parts, im sure.

IMO the workmanship looks poor. I didn't expect to see this sort of poor quality from MAS. They have made some pretty good sticks in the past.

You should be a little pissed after paying $100 for that stick. They could have done a more professional job. :oh_no:

MAS is a shitty ass company that uses wood staples.

I'd do a better job building my own.

He said it. Don't look to them for perfection. They are all about cutting corners. But they still offer decent superguns and good sticks for fair $$$, so I can't talk too much shit as I loved my supernova until I got a cab. But they definitely aren't works of art.

I knew I shoulda' just let the system ignore you for me....but I was curious. WHY did I click your post....WHY?!

Do you even KNOW what we are talking about.....mayne? Plus $100 for a custom made stick with Happs parts is very common, and thats for homemade. He didn't get "fucked". His stick looks like it was made by a person. Its still better than an $80 X-Arcade with "perfect" workmanship.

My advice, test-drive the joystick...if it feels like it wasn't worth it....return it. If you wanted a work of art, there are guys on snk-capcom who could've made it for you, but you'll probably pay at least $100 if not more.

better get a hori hrap1/2 and mod it with sanwa/seimitsu buttons. mas sucks.

I debated getting one of those but decided not to. I'm gald I didn't get one now because the unit looks like it isn't worth the money. It really should be in tip top shape for $100. I'm going to build a two player arcade stick unit from a Neo control panel overlay. It'll probably end up costing less and being much better.

I loved my MAS stick, but eventually sold it after getting rid of my AES

I'd just replace the buttons and overlook the rest

Man, that sucks that they did that shitty of a job. When I had them make me a PC joystick, it came out perfectly. I would take that back and have them fix it or replace it.

I was under the assumption that he payed 100 and ova for a Mas Stick that he prolly bought off the Mas Custom Joysticks website. While back i was checking out they site and was thinking about droppin some cash on em'. For the exact same Neo Design. But he says they do shotty work. Fuck that. To me, payin that much money and gettin aight workmanship is gettin fucked. Aight cost 20bucks. point blank.

The rap uses a sanwa stick and hori buttons.
Only the special edition/addition versions had sanwa/seimitsu buttons.
But it's not like the hori buttons are horrible or anything.

MAS products haven't been worth a shit since their OG line of SuperNovas back in
1994. Honestly.

I can attest to that.

I just pulled out those sh*tty sh*tty fucking buttons and put in sanwas.

Muuuuch better response now.
