I'm looking to pick up an empty cabinet and finding one is a bit of a problem in my location. Finding anything for arcade parts, or such even is has to be ordered as the only place local is way, way over priced. So now I am looking for a cabinet and was thinking about getting a new one, maybe a cool looking one with one of those higher resolution monitors in it. The thing is I am really not having much luck finding anything on line about them.

Is it worth the extra cash to get one? I can pick up an older game and just do some work on the cabinet and save some cash maybe, but the reason I was thinking about the better monitor was to later on put a newer system in or such.
Anyone know where a guy can get a good deal on a new or used cabinet?

Okay and just on a side note. I went to the local place that deals in arcade games and looked at a Neo-Geo cabinet with a four slot board with two games in it . It looked to be in average shape for one that has spent most of it's life in service. The price they gave me was $900.00. When the guy started it up, it came up wiith the test mode deal you get with when your cart was dirty, and he then said, that he would sell it as is for that. And if I wanted it fixed he would charge extra for parts and labor. Told me it was most likely the power supply?
Anyhow... It is still sitting there I guess.

Unless it's solid gold, that's TEH MOST OUTRAGUS PRICE EVAR LOL. Seriously, prices vary from place to place, but for that kind of money, it would be cheaper to ship one in.

But yeah, check out Mastu's stuff. I've heard he's a fantastic dude. I'd buy myself if I had the cash. Damn sure better than doing it myself...

Yeah I thought that was a bit much. I got a cabinet just like it for 300 and everything works +six games, only had to drive 5 hours each way to get it.. It is just where I am there is only one place any even close to drive to so they charge a fortune.

That's a much better price. Pretty good, actually. What games did you get?
