Gitaroo-Man Re-released?

Does any one know the deal here. I was searching Gamestops website looking to see if any stores had Rez in and thought i would check for Gitaroo Man also. Well i found that about 15 stores in my area have it in stock used, and list that more are on the way, also the Ebay price for this game has dropped.

Just wondering if anyone knows what is going on? I was curious to know if Gamestop have been hording them, and have then decided to flood the market. This would not make much sense as most people are not going to pay $44.99 for it.

Supposedly this reprint is the same type of deal as Persona 2, Rhapsody Cubivore and who knows what other games. Gamestop has been selling the above reprints as used even though they are all minty fresh.

As far as i can tell the game is identical to my original Gitaroo Man, it has 2002 date on the back with no other date anywhere else. My lack of respect for Gamestop drops further than i ever thought it could, i'm all for people being able to play these rare games, but to reprint them and sell them for a high price is plain daylight robbery.

Is this one coming to Neo Geo?

Now a serious question: was this game released in USA? I thought it was Japan only.

There's a PAL version too.

I just sold my Gitaroo Man for $70. I kind of almost wish they left these games rare. Too bad they never did a sequel to GM.
