The title says it all. There is a used game store here with a six slot big red that dosen't work. Before I got my 2 slot cab I went in there and offered them 600$ cash as is. His response...it dosen't work and I am going to fix it. That would be cool except in June still there still broke. I offer them 800$. His response...it's broke, I don't sell broke stuff. I am aware that it is broke, I wanted it anyway as the store is less than 1 mile from my house. I offer to fix it and he isn't interested. Well long story short, the cab is still there in non-working condition as of yesterday. That is one expensive piece of furniture.

The store has a good amount of business, at the very least it would be nice to have one that close for possible tournaments etc...

Oh well...I got my gaming fix at my house. I just hate seeing a cab in such great physical condition just sitting there, what's wrong with these people????

I can't edit...but I offered them the 600$ two years ago. Two years with a broken cab just sitting there!!!!!

Get some muscle with you, and offer the money and he either accepts or you break his thumbs. Either that, or keep on pestering him..until he bans you from his property.

He wouldn't accept $800 for a non working bid red cab?, I seriously think he is insane!
If he says he's going to fix it and hasn't in the past 2 years that you have seen it there, wont accept $600 or even $800 for it and isn't interested in having you fix it, I think there must be another factor we are missing here as that's wierd...

Idea..

Find out if he's looking to buy/would like to put in another cab in the used game store that works to make money.
(store owner"well I would like to have one of these type machines here" DING!!)

Offer a trade and make an agreement...you need to get him interested in what you have or can get../shoe on the other foot..
If you can get his eyes on something you have/can get/try to get or a cab that he wants and that you can buy it for under $600.00/trade then you got your big red..

Also Maybe since he runs used game store..maybe he's in need of some costly high priced rare item that you can get cheaper ...or for him in trade.

Ask if he's interested in a trade..
Sometimes money is nothing to these guys but an item that catches their eye may change their tone.

Maybe he doesn't trust your skills to fix it up and wants to do it himself but hasn't got round to it yet.

It seems like he wants to keep it but doesn't have the knowhow or it isn't his top priority. Because this is in a game store, it makes even more sense that he doesn't want to let it go.

I suggest that you scour ebay, as you could easily get a good condition cab for $800 shipped.

Or just forget about it if a 6 slot even fit through a regular doorway I could have had 3 at auction for the 800 bucks you're trying to give him for 1 non working cab.

Seriously no one wants them, they're too much of a hassle and will only go for 200-250 bucks at auction here. 4 slots go for 250-300 then anything else 2 slot, 1 slot, converted cabs all hover back down around the 150-200 range.

So save yourself some money and get a cheaper, working cab in a more managable size (2 or 4 slot)

Is it something that you could fix real fast while your friend holds a gun to his head? :loco:

Or you could wait untill close to Xmass and offer him $200.00 cash. Make sure you have the cash in your hand and he can see the cash. Any other employees? Buy it from one of them when he is on vacation.

Anyone who will not take $800.00 for a broken game is nuts. :conf:

I don't want it now...my wife bought me a 2 slot in august for my birthday. It just pisses me off to see an unworking cab somewhere that could either:
A...Be fixed and used for weekly income & provide enjoyment for the patrons of the store
C...Be sold to someone that gives a damn about the neo

I mean just having it sit there and not working irritates the hell outa me.

Won't sell it and won't fix it...seems fairly likely to me he sells drugs on the side and uses it to hide his product

Turn him in to the cops and ask that you be allowed to keep the cab after it's been used as evidence in his trial...
