I recently won this auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=13718&item=6220297462

I have been reading alot on this mobo, from what I read it was made specifically for this game and that it doesnt work with too many other games, specifically ROTD (please correct me if I am wrong). This morning, I deceided to test it out with a game other than Irritating Maze, so I grab my ROTD and it works perfectly, all the buttons are mapped correctly and the game plays fine. I was surprised because I know the systems bios has the controls mapped for the trackball, and 2p buttons. Does anyone know why this game is working? Is there something in the game itself that knows what board it is being played on and correctly configures the controls?? Also, I tried my SVC and the games controls are mapped differently, as expected. Press left on player 1 controller and both characters jump to the left of the screen, etc.

One more question, I have another partial Irritating Maze kit, the kit includes the manual. Do any of you know what this second smaller board is beneath the trackball control board?

It is also marked with the SNK logo, but I have not been able to find any info in the manual or on the web (hardmvs.com, I think thats the site). Any help is appreciated. Thanks alot!

Good score - $40 for an MVS board w/ cart!

I'm not sure, but that may be one of the control boards for the lamps or air jets (???). Just a guess.

I've never seen someone report a joystick game working on the IM board with proper controls.

I'm sure someone will post saying they said it sixteen years ago, but this is the first I've read about, so nice discovery. :)

Holy crap, that was a good deal. I wish I'd bought that.
