I just got in a Battle Garegga PCB from Yaton. He said it was good and he's always been straight, so I don't think he sold me a busted board.

I've tried it on 2 different cabs and cleaned the contacts and checked the dips.

I power it on and I get a screen full of garbeldy-gook. Similar to the boot-up screen for Galaga, except this is static and doesn't move or go away.

Does this sound like a fixable thing, or is it shot?

I'll post pics tonight.

Hmm...it should boot up just like Batrider with the same ram/rom checks. I think it is probably mess up given what you have tried.

Yeah, I'm thinking its no good. Yaton's always good about returning broken shit....but I really wanted this game. One of those Eeproms that are supposed to be photo-sensitive has the sticker torn and its exposed. The movie in my head had him test it, see its working, then photograph it for ebay. Somehow upsetting the space-time continuum and messing up the board. I don't know....I'm not a doctor.

I am however, depressed my Battle Garegga no worky.
