How hard is it to come by an XY monitor?

I'm planning on moving my 4 slot out of the Asteroids cab it's currently in and using the cab to play vector games via mame and a XY control board. I'm just wondering where I could find one of these. Suggestions?

I assume you're talking about a black and white vector monitor. They aren't hard to find at all. It's the color XY monitors that can cost a good bit more, but neither of them are really that hard to find. You can check ebay of course or ask around on the rec.games.video.arcade.collecting newsgroup.

I'm thinking he wants a color XY since he will be playing XY games via MAME not just Asteroids. You can find them on eBay or as the other poster mentioned on RGVAC but it's going to cost a lot of money. XY monitors aren't really made anymore since nothing uses them so the only way to find one is buying a used or refurbished one. I'm assuming you are going to use the Zektor Vector Generator. If not then, you should since the Zektor guys showed this off at CA Extreme a couple of years ago and it was simply amazing.
