I have a Jaleco Pony Mark IV cab in need of a monitor. Of course I am having a hard time finding a monitor. It still has the original Power Supply(working), and I was wondering if I could put a different monitor in it. The original monitor is 29". Can I put a 25" monitor in it, if I figure how to mount it?

Basically I just want to know if I could use a different monitor with the current power supply? I plan on using an MVS 1 Slot, if that makes a difference. I pretty much know how to put everything together, I am just clueless when it comes to monitors.

From what I hear, a 27" monitor will fit in the Japanese cabs that say they have a 29" monitor. US monitors are measured by picture size and Japanese monitors are measured by the actual tube size. So a 29" is realy as 27". Well, that's what I understand to be the case. I haven't done a swap myself.

Thanks for the info LoopyEddie. I also read somewhere that MVS doesn't look too good on monitors larger than 25". But if a 27" fits perfectly then I will go with that. What about the Japanese powersupply's. It's not a problem using a Japanese powersupply with a monitor intended for a U.S. cab?
