Galaga/Pac-man arcade question

I want to know if a Pac-man board will plug into a Galaga cabinet. I checked the KLOV to see the conversion classes and the Galaga is a Namco Galaga conversion and Pac-man is a Namco Galaxian conversion. Does anyone have experience with what I'm talking about? Both games where made within a short time of each other and by the same manufacturer. I would think they would be interchangable with each other.

No, Pac=Man boards will not run in Galaga cabinets. Offhand, I know that Mappy and Galaga can run from the same cabinet. I don't know if you could make an adaptor or not. Pacman converts AC power to DC right on its boardset while Galaga has a seperate power supply board that does that. That righr there would probably make it a pain to make an adaptor plus Galaga only has a 2 way stick so you'd have to change that also.

I would install a smps power supply and convert the pacman board to run of a dc supply so you can play both boards in that cab. It wouldnt be difficult to make up an adaptor socket to go from galaga to pacman edge connect.
