Just a quick comment on all of the great superguns I have seen made that are on sgrepository.com and other places. It is absolutely amazing the varied styles and looks of superguns and consolized boards. In the end, they all do the same or similar things, but the execution is where things differ. It almost reminds me of a comedian talking about a college room mate of his that would make bongs out of apples and oranges. Seeing things like disk boxes and vhs cassette boxes being used as supergun cases is what reminds me of that. I have been trying to make a good supergun of my own lately and I am learning there is definately more to it than what I first thought. So it gives me all the more respect for those on here that do the custom work for other people.

...

that's it. I'm going down to the local head shop and building a supergun out of a ... water pipe.

Thats a pretty good looking saturn supergun. I finally made my first supergun last night. I don't have an rgb encoder yet, so I am going with RGB only for the moment. It ended up looking like a variant of the VHS cassette case supergun that I bought a few months ago. The main difference being that I bought a prewired jamma harness with about four feet of wire and I have about 3 1/2 feet sticking out the side. It works good, but I am having problems with some boards syncing properly with my monitor.

One Question, what kind of potentiometers (ohm rating) whould be used for the rgb adjustment knobs ?

Also, I am wanting to get an rgb encoder though, so if anyone has a spare one they are willing to trade for, I have a number of MVS carts that I can part with.

Roll with 500 ohm pots....

15 Pin D-Sub's rear-mount perfectly in a Saturn.

So it's a Neo Geo Pinout....

But you could expand it for more buttons.
