The quality is as good as the neo cd svideo, which I think is as good as Svideo gets. It is a good alternative for people with multiple AES systems, or that may want to use this with a consolized board.

You could wire up a jrok type board for cheaper, but this is a very clean and pretty collectible solution.

Compared to a mod, it has a darker "tinted" softer look, but it does eliminate all sorts of rainbow effects.
