[EDITOR'S NOTE: Attacked by the Neo Community and now legally attacked by SNK, the "brains" of NGF decides to challenge a mod to a debate. Be careful what you wish for...]

In order to really understand what happened with the court case, I wanted to call out the #1 source if mis-information on this board. Resident legal student bobak seems to think he understands the law, and this case - without ever being involved.

If you really think you can handle a fact-based debate - 1 on 1, then I am willing to even do it here, at the capital of propaganda. I am so confident in my position that I am stepping up here to challenge you to a 1 on 1 debate, without the distractions of the crybabies.

I propose we use this thread, and debate based on the facts. Only you and I should be able to post in this thread. Presentation and rebuttal until all positions are cleared or someone gives up.

What an interesting debate:

On one side you have bobak -

legal student at USC - president of his law class no less...
moderator of this board
champion of the whiners here

On the other you have ChrisR -

Purdue University graduate
over 10 years of REAL experience in the corporate world.
NGF co-founder and defendant in the case

I am here on your "turf" and I am looking forward to embarrassing you in this debate, and hope you are man enough to admit your positions were incorrect. If your even going to accept the challenge.

Rules:

One of us makes a post, the other responds. The thread continues until we are done. If anyone else posts in the thread, I will not respond until the post is deleted - even it is supporting my position. The end should produce a clear picture of the facts.

I will even let you go first.

Also, I say each person should get up to 2 days to respond, as my schedule is very busy and it may take that amount of time. If it takes a week or a month it doesnt matter to me...

You can even brainstorm your responses with all of your aspiring lawyer buddies.

Let me know if your up to it by sticky threading this to the top and making your opening post.

We can even call it - Purdue vs. USC...

Facts are you guys were selling illegally reproduced games and copywrited material why before you may have managed to get Someone at SNK to sign off on a piece of paper during the Bankruptcy. Still, I don't want to leave the new folks out: Try and go on the forums of his website... Oh wait, you have to get "approved" first (approved means "you have to have no idea that they have a history of scamming, and if you do (and especially if you dare bring it up) no free speech for you!". ChrisR and Dion have a history of never letting the other side speak. Ironically, that means ChrisR actually has to come onto our board in order to get a balanced conversation since I wouldn't be permitted on his (which has only been updated sporatically since they were dragged into court).

Listen, to have debate you have to have compelling sides. There is no real position for you take. no one belives you. I didn't go directly into law school (at Minnesota, but like my undergrad alma mater USC [first tier undergrad], UMN's a top-20 law school nonetheless).

I haven't worked 10 years, but the sad thing is I've lived more in 3 than you have in a decade. Still, I'll just cut to the most relevant bit (since it's more relevant than your 10 years):

- Summer associate at Chain, Younger, Cohen & Stiles (a law firm, oh -and that means I've actually written successful legal motions and seen injunctions levied on people)

The game already happened. USC beat Purdue, at the Coliseum, back in 1998 - I know, I was there.

ChrisR, no matter what you say, regardless of what point you make, there's nothing more to be said that I haven't already basted you with in the other threads and responses.

The entire argument, put succinctly:

You guys just had a choke-chain put on your neck by SNK-P in the form of a Permanent Restraining order.

The Neo-Store doesn't have one. Neither does S-C.com. Why? Because they didn't try to cheat the company.

You can claim that your little "Scarlet Injunction" means something good, but it's no dice. No one, and this is a practical legal truth, no one gets an injunction levied against them unless they did something to warrant a whole lot of legal interest. If your case was absolutely innocent, it would have been dismissed.

Actually, to an extent, ChrisR may have gotten the best deal he could've by "only" getting the choke chain put around his neck since the alternative, going to court, would've probably spelled doom.

First of all, I must admit that I'm new to this forum. Next, I've never had any dealings with anyone on this forum, which includes Bobak, ChrisR and Dion.

I've read as many threads as I could find on the Neo-Geo forums and anything I could find on the NGF site concerning this case, as well as the permanent injunction and the press release due to a personal interest in legal matters.

As for an introduction and an explanation for my interest in this, I have both a university degree in penal law as well as civil law. I'm currently busy with my degrees in corporate law and international management. Next to that I have several years of experience in corporate management. I live in the Netherlands, so even though I might not have the best insight in American legal matters, I have taken several courses on this subject matter.

And even I, with no actual stance in the matter based on personal feelings, have to take side with Bobak in this "discussion", if it can be called that. While not one of ChrisR's explanations have, in both my personal as well as my professional opinion, any basis in the reality of any legal system, I have found Bobak's analysis very interesting and ,more important, right on target.

It takes a brave man to admit when he has lost, and unfortunately, even to me this is clear, ChrisR is not a brave man in this matter.

Let us just say for a moment you are indeed correct in your assertations that you "won" against Playmore.

Explain why then you have had a Permanent Injunction held against you and Dion? You are prohibited from selling most Neo Geo cartridges in any shape form or way, as well as other things. With the sole exception of the 10 or so titles you actually had legiitimate agreements with the old SNK to distribute. This was a small select few titles, so this is hardly any sort of victory.

Secondly, explain why you had to pay a $5,000 bond?

You know, it really is sad when a grown man cannot accept what has happened. I think you and Dion are in shock pretty much over what happened with SNK-Playmore. The two of you danced around without any sort of threat from the SNK Corporation in previous years. I could understand why the two of you would deny things happening the way they did because you still are having trouble believing the game company you were passionate for swiftly put an end to everything you two have done.

Let's not kid anyone, yours and Dion's reputations were destroyed long before this debacle which pretty much has sealed your fate in the Neo world. I have never seen two people who would be so insistent on being true loyal Neo fans try and use a hobby for their own personal gains. A true Neo Geo fan would never have defaced games especially given the rarity as you two did. You destroyed numerous copies of games that were valuable and had a chance to get into people's hands unblemished. A true fan would have sold the games without defacing them. A true fan would not have destroyed inserts and offered "corrected" inserts in place of it. Regardless of what inaccuracies the games held, they should have been left as is because that is the way they came from the factory, and that is the way people want it regardless of spelling errors or coloring errors. I really fear to see what would happen if the two of you managed to get ahold of a couple of the RPO L-88 427 Corvette Stingrays, what would you do correct the HP ratings to the advertised 430 as opposed to the true 560HP?

Keep in mind Chris when you bought out the SNK stock of home carts, that could have been NGF's chance to become something of meaning in this hobby. Instead you took a name of a Japanese Neo Geo publication and ruined that name. Automatically when people hear "Neo Geo Freak" they think of all of the things that you and Dion did to ruin this hobby. If you would stop trying to delude yourself into thinking you did nothing wrong and take a step back to objectively view why people dislike NGF then maybe you would see the truth.

The bottom line is you and Dion have no class. If you did perhaps the two of you would openly admit to the public that you guys fucked up big time and got what you had coming to you by way of SNK. It's funny how you guys try to act like cool men, but in reality you are hardly men, if you really were you would have the balls to admit NGF finally got caught and paid the price. But you would rather try and continue to spin everything in an attempt to try and save what integrity you think you have left, but believe me all that integrity left you a long time ago.

Stay away from this hobby, you effectively ruined portions of it. Understand you are not welcome by anyone but the select few who decided you did no wrong and are blind to the truth. You thought you were above the law and could not get caught. You did, stings like a bitch don't it?

You think we are prohibited from selling neo geo games? This is certainly not the case. I can today, tomorrow, or next year sell ANY eno geo game ever made (including protos). What the permanent injunction says is Dion or I cannot sell any INFRINGING ITEMS. It is stating the obvious, as you cannot sell infringing items either. But the reason this is down on paper for us is we agreed to no longer reproduce/repackage/release the games we had previously purchased the rights to do from SNK Japan. Which means if we manufactured additional neo geo products and sold them they would NOW (NOT WERE!!!!!) be infringing items, and therefore we would be held liable. Think about this, if you were a company that just spent a LARGE amount of money to recover an asset, wouldnt you want more than a promise that you were getting what you paid for?

So, in summary, yes we can sell any games we currently own. We can purchase more games and resell them. We can do whatever we want as long as we reproduce ADDITIONAL product. ALL CURRENT PRODUCT is 100% authorized and recognized as legit. It is 100% legal for a consumer that owns an NGF title to resell the game. Playmore has NO rights to these games, and they are protected as games produced when we owned the rights. Please ask Playmore.

Also, the updated list will go up soon. I have asked them to take the old list down as it has caused more harm than good.

Also, the $5000 bond was put up by Playmore to introduce the lawsuit. After the settlement they asked for it back. It was not NGF money.

These are the facts, believe them or not, but you did get your answers. Hopefully, others that wondered did as well.

To answer your question, which seems obvious - why would I come here knowing I will be attacked.

Well, I am certainly not an attention hound, or do I actually worry about what the crybabies say, but I do enjoy getting my point of view out - in even this hostile environment. I am more than confident enough in myself not to worry about people calling me names or making pictures, videos, or audio tributes to NGF. I think some of them are really really funny. So, probably the biggest reason I make posts is I may happen to have the time, and also because I know it really burns up the people that are doing their best to discredit Dion and I for no other reason then the fact we tell the truth, do what we say, get the job done, and enjoy our lives outside the neo geo. Its amazing people can be that obsessed with what I call "blind fury", but it happens here daily! This is a place where a few, and mostly nerdy type kids (the people that post the most, and admin the site), find comfort in doing things they cant in real life. I dont begrudge them for that, but do have to level the playing field by making sure the masses understand.

Of course, to be slapped with a Permanent Injunction telling you the obvious is just as telling. One thing for those new to this: Filing a frivilous motion (like an injunction) is ground for sanctions... but SNK-P was allowed to slap an injunction for something "obvious" on Mr. Ray and Mr. Dakis. Now think to yourself: Did they do anything to warrant that? In the eyes of the Court: Yes. It's amazing what blemishs can be made without wasting the money on going to trial.

Still, I've compiled a brief backgrounder for newer readers to this saga:

HISTORY LESSON:
(A) As everyone in the Neo Community who remembers the heyday of NGF can tell you, they made their name on two things:
----(1) selling "ultra rare" games, these were games that were never released on home cart. Of course, to create these games they had to create conversions of the MVS cartridge and then make a new home cart case (complete with infringing insert). Did NGF ever have permission to make these? No. A certain "Shock Troopers 1" home cartridge, made by NGF, is what landed them in this lawsuit to begin with.
----(2) they would "correct" inserts (seriously, that's what they'd call it). By "Correcting" inserts they would take your old insert, destroy it (there are pictures of these two shredding them), and replace with a new "corrected" insert created by the NGFers. of course, this was all an infringement because they never had permission to create new inserts for any SNK-P game they wanted.
(B) NGF made a very large portion of their business on those two aspects. They took advantage of their homebrew inserts and rare games in order to ask for unreal prices (yes, even for this hobby). Were they worth the money? Well, ask someone on this board to pay the amount you paid them and see what happens.
(C) They would claim that everything they did was permitted by SNK, but as the lawsuit proves, that definitely wasn't the case: NGF got permission to do a narrow group of things, but then tried to milk it for their own gain, only to get the ire of SNK-P,
THUS:
This Permanent Injunction amounts to a very tight leash that SNK-P may now pull whenever it sees something it doesn't like.

Yawn... All Mr. Ray is saying here is that they can sell anything that they didn't infringe. Well "lad-dee-dah", that's an obvious statement.

Since their business used to deal with a lot of infringing "corrected" inserts, this means that they now have to just sell things at lower prices than the crazy amounts they wanted for their infringed versions of games.

Interesting. So you previously owned the rights to games and could legally produce and sell your own inserts, do conversions etc, but now you cannot (with the exception of the few games in the infamous list) following the legal action Playmore took? You can however sell games with inserts etc you produced yourselves prior to said legal action being taken. Is that right?

How come Playmore could just revoke your rights to those games then? Because they bought out SNK and their intellectual property?

Of course, as you can guess, they've been rather big assholes through the years -Dion more than Chris, fair is fair, since Dion used to be their spokesperson but was very inarticulate. Chris is more articulate but his arguments are all based on the same faulty logic that Dion's did.

What eats them up is that they've forever been branded as the Duo that was "Sued by SNK-P" and they have that shiney noose around their necks.

So, in a way, maybe they can sell things without the purchaser worrying (with their annoying stickers, but those are legal). If they ever sell another bad thing, the buyer can just ask the crowd at NG.com or S-C.com, and if its a bad cart... just tell ol' SNK-P and "yank" goes the noose.

This is what the Neo Community has wanted for a long time: A neutered "talk only" NGF :)

Also to those of you who do buy MVS/Home carts I should add that buying the carts from the 2ndary aftermarket even tho you love Neo*Geo games does not show you supporting Playmore.

I've gotten into this arguement before with people buying MVS and Home Carts after they were released years ago and some people still don't get that the only way you're going to be able to show any support is to buy the games new on release.

That's where the real support comes from. Hell I wouldn't be surprised that half of the high cost is due to HK Bootleggers dumping teh romz on the net so nobody will have to pay for em. That among other things more or less.

Buying shit from Chris Ray or Dion Dakis is now more or less you showing support to only one thing.

If a highly acclaimed international law firm didnt want to go to trial against 2 people with no legal experience, that says it all right there?

Again, the case is dismissed. We could have easily run this case out for the next year and gone to trial, but to what end? We would have been vindicated and still had the rights.... Big deal. With the way it was worked, we were still vindicated, AND moved the rights back to Playmore. It all adds up to a bitter pill for you, and another opportunity to use the obvious - NGF-PRA.

Its your own fault. If everyone would have beleived from day 1 about our rights, you could have saved Playmore MUCH money.

On a side note, why not ask Joe how much stock I have left last time he was at my house? I have none.

Ask a certain website owner promoting SNK and Capcom how much stock Dion has left? none.

It is not a competition. NGF isnt trying to sell neo geo games. We have already sold more games than any retailer in the history of the neo geo. Game over. The stock is gone, what is left but the new titles? Others can carry the torch that NGF lit years ago, with our blessing. What does that mean?

Well, I'll flesh it out some more for our readers, assuming most haven't gone to trial on something like this, here's info on basic legal economics:
- Dion and Chris are two relatively small time crooks (see NGF Bible)

"Hey, we can get these two (who are representing themselves and know no better) to sign a permanent injunction that will let us simply drag them to court in violation of an injunction if they ever sell infringing items again." (if you haven't guessed, if you violate an injunction like the one that NGF signed, it skips a lot of the expensive steps and streamlines the whole process).
- SNK-P get's NGF to sign the injunction. What does that mean? Well, NGF can sell its normal, uninfringed items (and I'm not doubting they have some, other popular sellers have bought their stock), but the next time they ever get the inkling to do a "corrected" insert or a converted game that never existed (in a particular format)... WHAM: down comes the hammer. Thus, that is how SNK-P has a leash on NGF.

Again, his term "vindicated" refers to the obvious right I noted above as (1). Remember, (2) above is what this was all about. The NGF Bible was created as a record of their former antics for posterity.

What other sellers/resellers do is up to other sellers. What stock you have is irrelevant to the issues of the case. If you decide to buy and sell more games, untouched, you can. If you go back to the old "Corrected inserts" and "Ultra rare" games... well that's another story.

Okay readers, that statement is classic NGF: Say something wholly unsubstantiated and hysterical. Well, I'll flesh it out some more for our readers, assuming most haven't gone to trial on something like this, here's info on basic legal economics:
- Dion and Chris are two relatively small time crooks (see NGF Bible)
- Lawsuits cost a lot of money, but the real lion's share of costs are when it actually goes to trial (this case did not).

Yes, lawsuits cost alot of money. But ask yourself, Playmore and its executives are very familiar with lawsuits. They have been serving them up with frequency. So why would they attempt to sue us, knowing they couldnt recover the cost of the action? Did they think they would get attorney fees? Did they think they would win? Maybe before the first day in court, but after that it was serious damage control.

We were already in the Discovery phase of the proceedings, and I am sure Playmore had already spent large dollars, so what was the best way to get out of it? Well, that question is already answered.

- When you reach a certain point in the Pre-Trial phase, the firm tells the client how much they think going to trial will cost, versus what they could (even in the best case scenario) get from their opponents.
- Now it doesn't take a genius to figure out that ChrisR/Dion/NGF isn't really worth that much in relative terms to SNK-P. So spending the money of actually going to trial would probably be more than anything they'd win. Funny, I know, but that's how this crazy legal system works.

If we were so small time, why even bother us? Could it be they ALREADY know what we had the rights to and wanted to hi-jack them away through legal intimidation? That was always my theory, but who knows.

- What do you do if you're faced with this kind of economic decision? Well, lets step into the shoes of SNK-P: Your attorneys tell you. "Hey, we can get these two (who are representing themselves and know no better) to sign a permanent injunction that will let us simply drag them to court in violation of an injunction if they ever sell infringing items again." (if you haven't guessed, if you violate an injunction like the one that NGF signed, it skips a lot of the expensive steps and streamlines the whole process).
- SNK-P get's NGF to sign the injunction. What does that mean? Well, NGF can sell its normal, uninfringed items (and I'm not doubting they have some, other popular sellers have bought their stock), but the next time they ever get the inkling to do a "corrected" insert or a converted game that never existed (in a particular format)... WHAM: down comes the hammer. Thus, that is how SNK-P has a leash on NGF.

What is so funny is your entire arguement is now reduced to taunting me with the injunction we HAPPILY signed! What you call a noose, I call moral insurance for Playmore. I was happy to give them those assurances in exchange for what we recieved.

To what end? that's exactly what SNK-P said: We have two people hardle worth the court costs we'd expend to nail, so we'll just get them to sign a piece of legally binding paper that will keep them in line.

See, ChrisR is playing with two matters here:
(1) He does have the rights to sell the uninfringed games he and Dion possess, that's a given. That's the fact he keeps pointing to when he says "rights".

When I refer to rights, I refer to the rights we PREVIOUSLY had (pre-settlement), which were the rights to reproduce and repackage pretty much every neo geo game ever made. As well as the rights we currently have, which are 100% the same as your rights.

(2) He does not have the rights to sell infringing games, that's what NGF is notorious for, that is why they were dragged into court. Those are the games not on the permission list in the injunction.

The games on the real list that will be posted on Playmores website are games we previously had rights to, and I have said all along we no longer do. You keep trying to make it out that I am denying no longer having these rights, which is incorrect.

He constantly points to number one, but that right was never called into question: He's playing the old bait-n-switch

Again, his term "vindicated" refers to the obvious right I noted above as (1). Remember, (2) above is what this was all about. The NGF Bible was created as a record of their former antics for posterity.

The case is dismissed, the Permanent Injunction is all they wanted. You believe what you want, but they now have your number if you and Dion ever go back to your Community publicized antics.

You can spout it until your blue in the face, but let me ask you this. Is a permanent injunction saying we could no longer do the things we had the rights to do in the past what they really wanted out of this lawsuit?? Can you say that with a straight face? What they wanted was the world, and what we got was the settlement. We gave them the moral insurance of the injunction, and it came very easy. I would do it again 100 times.

All irrelevant:

What other sellers/resellers do is up to other sellers. What stock you have is irrelevant to the issues of the case. If you decide to buy and sell more games, untouched, you can. If you go back to the old "Corrected inserts" and "Ultra rare" games... well that's another story.

No, very wrong, our stock level had EVERYTHING to do with the case. I am sure the NGF trackers on this board will notice that I RARELY sell anything. When we moved large quantities of stock to Shawn(which some is still in his store), NCS, JVG, Telegames, etc. That was a good chunk of the initial 3500 carts. When the rebirth came, and the addition 1500-2000 carts came in, we moved them about 95% corrected over the course of a year or so. So in the end our stock was pretty much insignificant, and the non SNK released game market has gone into the toilet due to bootleggers like arcade, and sales outlets like this board (moving unauthorized reproductions of games like PI2, which only NGF and SNK truely had the rights to reproduce). Essentially, it was ever then. The new games come out, and they somewhat sell, and the aftermarket turns into the disaster it is now because of the kids and "collectors". So why would we covet these rights that were the gold that paved the NGF highway for years? They ended up paying off double for us because of the case, but really that was just gravy.

If you have no stock, why do you keep coming back? To help us batter your already non-existent reputation even more? This thread is actually going to be a reference point for whoever else comes asking about you two. They can see exactly how easy it is to pick apart your argument in favor of the truth: you both have a history of bad dealing and counterfeit products.

I just keep coming back to this thread because your death spiral is accelerating, and it is fun to watch. I am still putting you at #2 in all time debates with me, second only to a fun one Deuce and I had years ago.

To be honest, I don't really care what the final outcome of any of this court business is. The bottom line is, the both of you could have been really good to this hobby but instead you invested so much of your ego into making some stupid fucking games into a ridiculous symbol of affluence and psuedo cool that your efforts simply became a parody of themselves. You two are like the guy that shows up at the club with a gold medallion thinking that all the attention he is getting is because he is so hip and good looking, when in reality it's because he is the butt of a multitude of jokes. BTW, this dress code evidently fits Dion to a "T," from what I have seen of him in his own photos, but who cares. That's petty anyway.

Hmm... Lets recap this story for the 100th time.... We made a trade, cardboard sengoku for regular. I sent you a sengoku 1 in decent shape, and you sent me a cardboard in decent shape. You say it had a photocopied insert - NOT CORRECTED, but photocopied. Why in the hell would I photocopy a C condition sengoku insert to keep? I just pulled the thing off my shelf of hundreds of carts and sent it. I offered immediately yo trade back and you refused, saying you were scared to send the cart back, hence the current situation. I fail to see how it is my fault. I doubted from the beginning it WAS even photocopied, but I was willing to trade back anyway. The entire deal was worth like $20.

But in your mind I really was looking to rip you off.

This is the best people can come up with in the last 8 years. Man, I feel like a real crook.

Okay ahh, I think it may be time to step back and have a good look at what all this legal debate is supposed to achieve! I'm not saying it’s not all good interesting stuff and more than a little entertaining, but ChrisR what are you actually trying to achieve with all this? Yes, I suppose there’s always a slim chance that a few of the folks here may actually be convinced by some of the points you're making, but unfortunately the bottom line always has been that NGF decided at some point to repackage AES/NGH carts with reprinted inserts complete with your label on the back, stamp and sticker booklets and the list goes on. You have to have thought at least for a moment or two that this is a purely sacrilegious practice no matter what form of collectable goods undergo this sort of manipulation!

Unfortunately for some of us, in the early days of our Neo collecting, blinded by ignorance, decided to buy a few carts from you and are now cursed with largely unsaleable items defaced with now ‘Scourge’ status labels and stamps. That was my goal from the beginning of this thread. It was supposed to be only myself and bobak. It didnt turn out that way, but I feel the information I wanted to get out has gotten out, so I am satisfied. The thing that annoys me about this site is the intimidation that is wielded on members if they dont "fall in line", with the status quo. I think its sad that probably 80% of the people here really only know whats going on with the neo geo through spoon feeding from the propoganda machine that are the frequent posters here.

I am happy to voice my thoughts and opinions free of fear of being "flamed", as I already know thats coming!

The issue of repackaging games goes back to the entire genre coding system discussions of many years back. It is common knowledge that the reasoning for the NGF corrected inserts was to right the wrongs of the former SNK or America. There was supposed to be a genre coding system (which is used in japan), implemented on all english releases. It was haphazardly followed, and really incomplete. Our goeal from day one was to implement the true original objective of SNK Japan, and have a logical genre coding system for all neo geo titles.

When we aquired the rights to repackage all neo geo games, we implemented this system across the board on all games that needed it (Sengoku 2 being one). We used the original artwork files to restore the original insert intentions on over 100 titles. There are some that did not need correcting (many of the fighters), but all that did were. We put our URL box on the back to MAKE SURE everyone was aware where the games came from... How that is deceptive is beyond me, we were providing the origins right on the insert. Also, this was part of the agreement with SNK. We included the box to display the agreement.

People that own the inserts really like them, and by the way, every single cart I have is displayed with the NGF inserts. It works well with people that come over and want to play a game but have no idea about the neo. I tell them pick a green stripe for sports, or blue for shooting, it is the perfect way to keep the games organized. You can claim that isnt the way SNK wanted it, but in fact it always was, just check the japanese games and see the box that says "fighting, Racing, shooting, etc".

The inserts were attacked when the "collectors" showed up - people that may have come from things such as magic cards. People that have never ever heard of the neo geo before the late 90's. These people tried to apply the logic of collecting to the neo geo for financial gain, and it has done a number on the price of neo geo carts. Now when people cry about mint this, or how a game is worthless because the manual is missing, or there is a crease on the corner of an insert, I get sick thinkabout these morons that are what all the people thought the orginal ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ really were. But the truth is the early ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ were gamers that loved neo geo games, and would find something good about every game, including LOSJ. Nowadays you have the kids that trash every new game, and worry only about if it will increase in value, and how fast. Its really a joke.... But i digress.

chrisr, I have not seen your "corrected" inserts before so I can't comment on the quality or what everyone else is talking about, BUT I do recall in a (very) old Neo Geo catalog...maybe '92 or '93 (Baseball Stars Pro 2 was on the cover) that did have the color coding. I've had that catalog up until about a year ago but since I moved I can't seem to locate it. Hopefully it'll turn up somewhere..... Thorough answer btw.

If it was their true objective, they would have done it themselves...it was your objective to modify the inserts to your liking when SNK decided not to implement the coding system. If you had modified the inserts for yourself, then that would be one thing, but you had no right to destroy thousands of original SNK inserts and sell YOUR insert, which you believed to be more appropriate.

As far as giving consumers a choice on the corrected inserts, they always DID have a choice... You dont want corrected? Buy from someone else. How much more choice do you want?

Do you go to a Saleen mustang dealer and ask to buy a Roush or Bullit? Asking a distributor to sell outside their brand is just unrealistic.

What people weem to forget is the stock was bought by us, and therefore it was corrected. If you dont like it, buy from someone else. Getting mad because NGF wouldnt do what YOU may have wanted them to do(sell uncorrected carts), is pretty lame and self centered.
