I may acquire a Jaleco Pony IV Cab. The cab only has a monitor without the monitor chassis. Will I be able to use the monitor with an MVS set up? Assuming it will work with a new Chassis. Like I said these are noob questions, this is going to be my first cab. :conf:

If anyone has a Jaleco Pony Cab with an MVS set up, can you post pics of the inside of cab?

I will also take advice and suggestions.

Added Questions: So if the cab is empty as described above what will I need? See my list and tell me what I missed. The cab is empty with monitor only.

1. Monitor Chassis

2. MVS 1 or 2 Slot (thats what i plan on using)

3. Power Supply

4. Jamma Harness

Did I leave anything out?

Also would using a SuperGun be benefical, or should superguns be used soley for television use?

Thanks in advance for helping an arcade noob.

I have a Jaleco Pony, but I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "no Chassis"

Is the monitor seated in the machine? As far as I can tell all the Jaleco's are like this ---the monitor doesn't come out of the machine

I haven't used mine for MVS, but there is absolutely no reason why you couldn't

I haven't physically seen the cab, only pics of the outside. But the person who currently owns it, told me it has a monitor but no Chassis. I was assuming he meant a monitor chassis. Like I said I'm a cab noob, so maybe I misunderstood him.

Here is an example of what I thought a chassis was or is.

The CRT is one of the most inexpensive pieces of a monitor. Add in shipping, and they're about equal.

If he's using proper terms, the chassis is all the electronics that drive the monitor.
