Any problems resulting from leaving your AES carts in the system for a long time?

I'd like to keep my Last Blade pluged into my AES 24/7 but I'm afraid that the pins might loose their tension so I unplug it everytime I'm done. Am I just paranoid? Thanks.

Yes. You are being paraniod. :)

Inserting and removing carts puts more wear on the cart connectors than just leaving one in there.

I don't think I would be too keen to do that... Is that the only game you have to leave it in 24/7?

You should not have any problems with the system if you leave the cart in for a long period. of time. I typically leave the same cart inserted in my systems for sometimes a couple of weeks at a time...when I get bored with it I swap it out. I have been doing this for many years...NES...Genesis...ect... You will put less wear on the cart if you leave it in; as well as the cart slot. Insertion marks will not build up on the cart as fast. Look at it this way, MVS cabs have the same carts slotted for months sometime years!

They're edge connectors, like the Jamma connector. No problem if you leave a cart plugged in. The less stress they receive the longer they will last.

yes you are but I understand you're concern. You actually wear the carts more is you insert them and take them out because it causes more friction but if you let them in there chances are you can trip over them, they block you're way in tight spaces, and collect dust which will cause a dirty looking cartridge or risk damage to them. Keep in a entertainment station that has a cover be it a glass door or something to cover the game & system from dust but that won't damage it.

Space and tripping hazards can become an issue.
Just be careful where you put it.

I've packed my consolized 6-Slot MVS away because it is just too damn big and I was worried about people kicking it.

Is that an American, or Japan version of The Last Blade?
