This is sort of an out of place question, but is your new "product" going to be a consolized playchoice 10?

"All of our units are calibrated to perfection in order to extract the BEST POSSIBLE signal (both audio & video) from the circuit board. Don't be fooled by other vendors who claim that "their AES systems" are superior. This is a complete myth. "

I won't deny you do a good job with the systems, but I'm curious what made you add this line Kenny. Did some other seller say something negative about your stuff in their auction?

I've had this in my auctions for some time now. It's simply clarification for interested parties who have been "mislead" by other re-sellers.

Or misled by the Kpj auction itself. :kekeke:

Oh that's fine, just wondering who misled people before in all honesty.

This should be an easy one.

The modification work is done by Jeff Kurtz whom is known UNIVERSALLY as the very best of the best. Systems modded by ANYONE ELSE will NOT have picture quality close to as good as the systems JGN offers.

What say you about the above?

You are better than Jeff K?

I wouldn't say inaccurate & false. More like an opinion, backed by general consensus.

The other Neo modders out there (including you Kpj) use the "generic" mod that was posted on !Arcade!'s site (with my permission) many moons ago. Sure, you may take it to the extreme and adjust resistor values to try and tweak the signal for different board revisions, but there are also some changes done to certain AES boards that are not known in the general public that improve the picture quality. I'm betting you don't know about these as I've seen a couple Mega Neos (now retrofitted with a Neobitz), and I've looked -- those changes are not present.

Also, I have see you say that SVideo is the best analog signal we get here in the US. Uh, Component Video?

Plus, this debate really doesn't matter anymore as the generic mod is not the best you can do, no matter how much you try and tweak it. The Neobitz's SVideo capability alone kicks the standard mod's ass.

Now, I'm not trying to start a mod war or anything crazy like that, but when my name is quoted and I'm called out, you can bet I'll add my .02.

Actually, I didn't call you out, nor was your name mentioned by me. I was referencing JGN. Regardless of "who" mods their systems, they are making false claims to having the "best" modded systems. This was aimed at the particular re-seller, not the modder. Besides, they are not the only ones who have made this mythical quote.

I've had numerous systems come thru my door that were once modded by you (and others). They've come in for repair, re-modification, tweaks, etc.. & I've seen no visual difference between most, if not all of the units (image via monitor). I've also studied many of the PCBs themselves for alterations; Not everything is a secret anymore.

Besides, what makes you think the NeoBitz board is the best component converter available? I'll admit that I've purchased a few from you & will likely buy more in the near future. The boards do give great results, but there are others out there that can give the same & some that do even better.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions....

Also, a bump for Kpj's selling thread ;)

I'm not going to jump head first into this debate, but I want to know....

Was there a specific problem with the systems that you *claim* were sent by clients who originally had JeffK do the initial work.

The reason I ask is because back in early 2000 I had a system modded by Jeff with the archaic 4X Bios mod, and once it arrived I noticed that one of the buttons in the back wouldn't let me boot in MVS mode.

Instead of calling someone else to fix it, I summoned Jeff who told me to return the system and he'd check it for free...

Turns out there was nothing wrong with it, and so Jeff shipped it back *FOR FREE*

You know, since he was the one who modded it, I decided to send it to him for a look over.

You know what?

That system has worked flawless since I owned it...

And last year I sold her to a member here... and guess what?

It still works.

If people are smart enough to go to Jeff, the real legend, for a modification and are unhappy with the results (which I highly doubt) I'm sure they would send the system back to him for repairs...

BTW, have you copied the NeoBitz board yet?

I love how you enter this thread & try to start a shitstorm.....

You're trying to take this debate to somewhere it needs not to go. I'm not questioning the reliability of Jeff's units. This whole issue was brought up by Dean. I followed it up with my answer.

Stop with the *claims* that I fabricate stories to boost my rep. I'm not the one who goes around "pistol-whipping" people at Walmart to make myself out to be an e-thug on an internet message board (only now admitting it was make believe the whole time). You are the epitome of a joke, trying to gain popularity (on the internet I might add) with your outlandish stories. If I was to take this question seriously, it would defintely not be inquiried from you.

Alright folks, that's enough of this. My question was innocent enough on the subject and I was only looking to find out a simple answer.

We all have our differences when it comes to modding, selling, promoting, so let's just leave it at that here.

Yep. Just curious about the claims people make since I myself do some of those mods, but more recreationally and almost always only by request.
