Cool find. I've never seen those controllers before. I have seen similar controllers for N64 and SNES hotel games, however there was never an actual console in each room. This had me thinking that I was done over a network with a roms server. Anyone know for sure how this works? Do they connect to a "Hotel" PSX or do they connect directly to the wall/cable port?

Anyone got pictures of a hotel system, if this is what is used?

These controllers would be connected to the wall behind the TV and then from there to a massive, centrally located, multi-game playstation/billing system.

There are also hotel Neo Geo, hotel 3DO, SNES, N64, etc.

I wouldn't expect much for them, unless you have the hotel unit it's pretty much useless. You could probably buy them all and convert them to neo geo pads :kekeke:

Now if you got your hands on a hotel system....
They are highly collectable. People like to get them because so few are made.

cheers,

Superpotato is a popular used game shop in tokyo.

7$ an hour is not THAT expensive, I guess...

One good use that would be nice if possible for those controllers and hote unit is to make 2 players game between 2 people not in the same room. It would be nice to be able to play against another customer in the same hotel aat fighting games, I guess.

It is when you figure that playing for 4 hours costs the same as a new game.

I know, but you don't need to bring the console or even own it. Possibly a week stay in the hotel is more expensive than a new bed, too. Of course playing for 4 hours is a bit ridiculous anyway. All those pay-per-time services in a hotel are always very expensive, so it's no surprise, what I meant is that I actually expected it to be more expensive.

Meh, I always bring some handheld to hotels :chimp:
