I recently got an MVS cab, and I noticed that the power switch isnt hooked up, or the fuse. It looks like its got original everything, power supply etc. The power switch is fire wires that has a molex connector on the end, but there is no where for me to plug it in, was this something on the power supply? Or is there some extra line filter or something i need? Anyone have pictures of an original Big Red cab power hookup? thanks

You have to have this type Power Supply in the cab(original) for that to plug into.."For an Original Type Neo Geo MVS Cab"...not a converted Cab..

http://www.hardmvs.com/html/powerSupply.htm

Or you'll have to splice those wires(cut end off) into the current power supply.
(IMO It's not easy to do)

I had the wrong power supply in both my big red and neo gold cabs when I got them..
I replaced both Power Supplies to the original type though my big red has a cheaper type that is missing that plug part.
My Neo Gold has the right power supply so I just plugged it back in.

You need this one..(to plug on and off switch into)

This is the one I have in my big Red right now(missing the external on and off plug)

I got them both off EBAY Brand new cheap so I used them..

seeing as your a bashful neophyte, I had the same situation in my cab. I was confused for a long time, but it was all good. I found out the PSU in my big red was replaced since the old one most likely burnt out. The new one had a fuse in it, so its safe. If I were you, Id just use a power strip to turn on and off. Easier to get to, as well. But thats just me. :glee:

Hmm, now Im a little more confused. I have this one http://www.hardmvs.com/html/powerSupply.htm
but, where the should be the fourpin molex cable to the power switch, there is a pushbutton, other than that the power supply is exactly the same, is it a slightly diffferent model or did someone mod it or something? Sorry to have such a long thread over something so trivial, im just curious :)
