I just got my board (4 slot) and the sound at the start up screen doesn't work. It is silent until you start the game you have selected. Any suggestions on things to get it working? Any help is very much appreciated.

Thanks for your help guys.
The only problem is that when I start the thing up with no games, it goes directly to the cross hatch screen.
How can I get to the test mode screen to change sound options?
Oh and one thing I forgot to mention is that my board has JP bios. Hahaha. I know enough Japanese to navigate if it's in katakana, which I'm sure it shoud be. But I'm also wondering if the options are in the same order as the English ones. That would be a big help.

Put a game in it and throw Dip Switch #1 then restart to get to the settings...
Make sure to clear the battery...
