well i just got my first neo geo cab and i fixed it up (new power supply, new buttons)
but the joysticks that came with it suck pretty bad (i think there 4-way  )
i just wanted to know what the best joysticks are for fighting games.

Competition sticks and buttons are awesome. Nothing beats them.

Now, see, that's where my opinion differs -- I can't STAND competition buttons. Gotta have the concave buttons on my stuff.

That's just my 2 nuyen opinion though -- take it or leave it.

Well, I do have some concave buttons I've ordered on purpose from Happ just so my machines look more "American"... but I think the competition buttons are so responsive. You just click down and you're there. Plus, they have that JPN sort of look, so if you're trying to do a JPN layout or color scheme on a panel, it looks more official with them. Plus, as I said, they feel great (for me). If they could be concave and have that quick response time, I would do that, but that's not the case, and the convex aren't so bad when you get used to them anyhow.

I like Seimitsu LS-32 joysticks but Happ Competition is also very good.

I have Happ Perfect 360 optical joysticks on mine, using custom steel shaft w/ aluminium peartops from slikstik.com

I couldnt be more happy, they respond better than expected and theyre very very silent. Pulling out smooth movements that use diagonals have never been this easy!

The only drawback is that you need to hook up the sticks to 5V on your cab as well, but thats really a piece of cake...

I prefer seimitsu LS-40 for joystick, which has a matching-color shaft cover (except for white).

for buttons, seimitsu PS-14-G or GX with black frame around the pushbutton.
