My Astro City CP has a couple of screw buttons that are pretty used and need replacing.
I've tried to un screw them but they just won't budge...what's a good way to un screw them without screwing up the CP?

Good point... :tickled:
What's better screw in buttons or snap in buttons? the screw in's are more solid on the CP but the snap in's are cheaper.

i guess that depends on the diameter of the holes. if they're just about big enough to get a button in, then the snap in ones should do, but if someone drilled the holes on his own and made them a bit too big, then the screw in ones should be the better choise as you can fasten them, if needed.

My CP has both snap in and screw in buttons.

if the snap in's sit in there and don't move too much or not at all, while pushing them, then you can go with those.

i'd only use screw in's, if the cp was made ow wood or would move while pushing them.

Yes, those wrenches are good. I'd think an AstroCity would have push in
buttons, like most candies do..
Buttons get replaced with whatever people have on hand. All the candy cabs that I have have had a mix of snap-ins and screw-in buttons (even mixes between sanwa, seimitsu, and cheap imitation) To get a cab with fully functional set of stock buttons, would either mean that the cab got no use, is new, or has REALLY crappy/gummed up buttons.

edit- after re-reading your post... I think you're talking about the american screw-in types... There are also candy cab screw-ins (some by sanwa)

All 8 sanwa white buttons that I got from him were screw-ins with an orange nut to screw on.
