So I just received my MAS super gun, I quickly hook it up to my MVS board turn it on and start playing. Everything was going perfect until I decided to hook up the other stick to player 2 to see it it was working, thats when it happen. The stick worked fine, But once I started to play the system RESETED. :conf:

I though I pressed something or pulled on something, but no I started to play for a second time and it happened again, and again, and again.

Does anybody have an idea of why is this happening.

Also how do I enter the menu to change the settings on the game you know like difficulty level, and tournament mode.

Thanks in advanced Im not really good with this stuff. Please feel free to AIM me if you have any comments. :)

Have you tried any other games..?..What game are you trying to play..?

Did it ever work without resetting/for how long....?to where you actually got to play it..?

Not sure on the MV-1F..but it may be a Mother Board and cart compatibility issue..

Also the power supply+5V may be to low.

You might try turning up the voltage a little from the nob on your power supply.

I also think about this. I have read that if the joystick doesn't get the +5V, the game won't work.

The only joysticks that need +5V going to them are Perfect 360s. Other sticks don't.

Why do you have optical sticks in an mvs cab in the first place? The neo only supports 8-way (and trackball too if you want to get into the speciallized mobo)... anything more than 8-way is pointless.

P360s ARE 8-way sticks. They just use an optical board instead of microswitches to detect movement. (they're not the 49 way sticks like the ones Atari uses)

Don't forget neocd controllers, and 'new style' neo sticks from hori.

Questions for Answer (hehe)
1. What kind of sticks are you plugging in? Are they Old style Neo controllers, new style neo sticks, neocd controllers, sticks that came with the MAS supergun, Neo-compatible sticks ordered from MAS separately, or custom made sticks (if so, describe them as best you can). We should know for both sticks, and also whether you have used them on real neo hardware before. (1b did you ever find or replace your MAS that was jacked at evo? That still sucked.)

2. Where are you plugging them in? In the MAS supergun, or the joystick ports on the motherboard itself.

3. What happens if you only try to play with a single known working stick in the player two controller slot?

4. Does it happen when you switch the sticks so the normal player 1 is in the player 2 slot, and visa versa?

5. Which games have you seen this happen on? What others do you have to test with?

6. Does it happen when that controller is plugged into the player two controller slot, and nothing is plugged into the player one slot?
