I got mas systems supergun, that I'm using with my mvs board and hyper64.
IT just doesn't look right, of course I understand that my tv is not as colorfull as rgb monitor, but still all colors look faded, and some flickering on the screen, minor but anoying.
It is a day and night compare to my neo cd. I hated loading times and I thought it would be better alternative to buy supergun, than aes, but if trade off is in quality, it is better to spend more money to get something you will enjoy, or is there something wrong with my supergun ?

I have heard that the Super Nova superguns did not haev great output. They use J-ROK boards i think. You may be able to replace the converter board with something else. Not too sure, but I know Dean or Falk would know what you can do.

I'm using a JROK on an MVS board and it looks great. I have two suggestions:

1. If you have RGB adjustment pots, try adjusting them.
2. Check for ground problems, including ground loops.

I fought with mine for a week with distortion, rolling bars, and one game just completely not syncing. The problem turned out to be a ground loop. As soon as I fixed that, everything worked just fine.

Another thing you might try is run the supergun through an RF modulator if you have one. The picture will look like crap but it might tell you something if the flickering stops.

The board used in the MAS superguns is custom but uses the same Sony encoder as the JROK. But, that being said, the board they make is quite different from the JROK in terms of components.

Ground loops are very frequently a problem and you're better off making sure the ground for your S-Video jack does not directly tie to the audio or even the composite video ground. I'd connect straight to the power supply ground or one of the controller port ground lines.

yeah, I will look inside, it is not so much flickering, as there is like distorted tiny line in the middle of the screen, it is really hard to explain, it has to be seen,
everything looks so pale. I totaly didn;t expect such a quality.
I love their joysticks, that is why I got mas system.
