Is the color scheme inside a DB15 cable universal?

Does anyone know if the wire colors inside a DB15 connector always pertain to the same connections?

I wrote down the color scheme for a Neo Hori Stick, and if the same colors apply to generic DB15 cables then I am able to use a cable I have that one end is cut.

I definitely would say no... Most people will do theirs the same way, but not necessarily the same way that another person might.

I understand what you are saying, but I wasn't asking about custom cables.

Sorry :) I guess it depends on the application... I know that the DB15 MIDI/Joystick connector will vary from the Neo DB15 joystick connector, but as long as there is a standard for the connector, it SHOULD be the same...

Oh yeah... the color the wire is mostly depends on what they have available at the time and almost always varies

I've bought many DB15 joystick extension cables at the same shop during the past few years and almost everytime the color scheme has been different, so just take a multimeter and figure it out each time.

I'm quite surprised that they didn't set up a reference for this.
