I put in an Atomiswave mobo in my Neo Geo Cab and everything works but the monitor keeps flickering. Is this a voltage problem? Anyone know what might be the problem?

Thanks..

Do you have it in low-res mode (DIP#1)? If you do I don't really know what could cause it, other than the frequency of the AW not being exactly the same as the MVS (but it should still work in a regular monitor, just a bit brighter).

Its a low resolution monitor and I put the dip switch #1 off but the picture is not clear and when I put the dip switch on that’s when I get the flickering picture.

Anybody know what the issue may be?

The lowres output from Atomiswave is actually interlaced highres so its never going to be as "clean" as say Neogeo.

Because you need to adjust the monitor RGB levels.

Don't switch it on if you have a low res monitor.

If I use the Jamma connection would it not already be set for low resolution?

Also would be monitor RPB setings be so different from MVS to Atomiswave?

If that were the case they wouldn't have added a hi/low res switch.

Yes, very different. The AW levels need to be attenuated much more.

No, as MKL says if you turn on that button the video outputted through both the JAMMA and the VGA ports is hi-res, I don't think it would be possible to output low and hi res from 2 different connectors at the same sime, that's what the switch is for. You could have a JAMMA cab with a hi-res compatible monitor and without a VGA port.

And yes, using the hi-res video in a low-res only monitor could be dangerous for it. Actually I tried it once in my RGB TV ( ) and the image didn't flicker, but it was doubled.
