MVS price check

okay so i'm looking at this MVS that looks like 2 cabs stuck together with one 6-slot and comes with ~30 games and they want $1500
so is that cheap and i'm stupid not to get it or is it to high and what is the name of this type of cab
and they have Nintendo Players Choice cab short model for$1000

I don't know what that machine is worth, but I bought an authentic NEO 6-slot with 3 games for $250 at auction. Pictures posted might help us. $1500 for any cab is serious cash. Are they 30 quality games or 30 copies of World Hereos?

count 350 for each cab, 250 for 6 slots. Its about 950 just for cabs and mb. Games, depands what they are. Bare common games, 25 to 30 dollars each? Kits will be more expensive.

its not 2 separate cabs its 1 cab that looks like 2
they said the cab is from canada and the they paid $600 for the mobo
there is MS and a few fighting games

What they paid for the Mobo is not your concern.

Is this thing like back to back where both players stand opposite each other?

Was it on ebay? If so those people have been trying to sell it for a few months. Neat concept, but not all that pretty.

no it was in the local ads of my newspaper
its not back to back its side to side on an angle
this is probaly the only way i'll ever get a complete cab but they said it can't go for less so its that or i never get a MVS :mad:

i found a second 6-slot mobo for 250 on ebay so then if i get this cab it'll be a 12-slot, 4 player, dual screen
should i still try to knock the price down with them

If your willing to buy a 6-slot mobo, do your own MVS conversion on a junker cabinet. Its raqther easy and there are plenty of people here to help you out with the technical aspects. Just make sure the donor cabinet has decent wood and a good monitor. Everything else is easily replaced.

It sounds like you're describing a Nintendo Vs. Cabinet, Atari Cyberball Cabinet or a Konami Run & Gun Cabinet. There are other cabinets this style with 2 monitors but those are the most common ones that are usually converted. If this is what they are selling, then $1500 is WAY overpriced unless they have some serious kick ass MVS kits. Most of these cabinets have small 19" monitors but yet they are very awkward in shape making it hard to place in your house.

i have a nintendo vs cab with excitebike and tko boxing ... if its a vs cab ... then $1500 is insane.

You're in Ohio and there are plenty of collectors and operators in Ohio. I'm in California and I've bought 3 different games from different folks in Ohio in the past. If you're near Columbus, check out Super Auctions. Also if you were thinking of spending $1500, you can easily find a dedicated Neo Geo or converted one for 1/3 of the price. Of course you would have to pay $300-$400 for shipping but you will still have $500+ in pocket change.

The design is close to which one since I gave 3 different games? Describe the cabinet more in detail and maybe we can figure it out.

Wookiewombat got his 6 slot Dedicated CABwith all the bells and whistles for $650 shipped.

it looks the most like the Konami i was going to go over their again and write down the games and take a pic of the cab and that would be helpful

Ok guys I found another cab that has peacked my intrest. I wanna know if this seems fair.

It's a 4 slot. You can choose 8 games. Excellent playing condition, monitor is still crisp, no burn in, cabinet itself is in decent condition but needs some work. I do have original SNK parts for restoration like the control panel overlay, marquee panel, and memory card reader. $700

So tell me what I should probaly pay for it.

not 700$....you'll get to pick from cheap ass title's(ss, ss2 , mutation nation, 3 count bout...so on)

400-450 sound's good( it's not a original?? then..you'll probably get a sf2 style cab)

1500 sounds WAY too high for that kind of setup. You should be able to find an original 4 slot for a fraction of that price.

1500??? Common, at least read the thread before you post. Nowhere in this thread is 1500 even mentioned, the highest dollar amount is 1000, and that was in October of last year. The most recent post is 700$ for a cabinet he wants.

Anyway, if you don't want to have anything shipped, then you will have to pay whatever someone in your area wants.

700 is resonable if you figure in how much most cabs would cost + shipping. I paid 350 for my cab on ebay (local seller, local pickup), but if you figure in potential shipping costs, it could have easily been 750.
