Does anyone out there have it? I don't own a Neo but I try to grab up SNK titles on other systems ... so how is it? And is anyone bringing it to the USA? (Capcom?)

Okay, not impressive to me......LB 2 isn't my cup of tea. Guilty Gear X is a lot better

LB2: FE on the DC is fantastic, a great conversion. I ran the DC version A/B with the Neo cart version, both systems using s-video, and the DC version was brighter and looked better.

Now granted, the game shows obvious pixellation due to its low resolution (probably 320x200), but thats just the way it was originally designed. Besides that, the music is a bit fuzzy, but again the Neo cart music is that way too, its the nature of cartridge music vs. CD music. In other words, they didn't remix or enhance the music, but that doesn't bother me in the least.

Gameplay is tight, animation is excellent, sound effects sharp, and the game is overall one of the best fighting games I have EVER played, on either platform (DC or Neo).

And finally, although GGX has much higher resolution, the animation leaves a lot to be desired. Its a good game, but I'll take LB2: FE over GGX anyday.

Basically, all this adds up to one thing: LB2: FE is probably the best SNK conversion to DC, to date, and one of the best SNK ports ever to any system.

As for Silent_Scope, I think that he just doesn't like the game, no matter what platform its on. So obviously the DC version would not be very exciting to him. I personally always felt that LB2 was one of the best fighters on the Neo (I love weapon-based fighters), and the DC conversion is an absolute gem for the system. Look beyond the low resolution and slightly distorted music, and you'll see a FANTASTIC port of a GREAT fighting game!

I really liked playing both Last Blade and Guilty Gear series. I know that Guilty Gear X is coming to US, so I can wait. But, does anyone know if Last Blade 2 is going to be released for the US..hopefully by Agetac (or I am getting the Jap version ASAP)?

Thanks chimpmeister for your ... uhh ... thorough evaluation! That helps a lot! I've never played a Last Blade game so I'll be buying it blindly so your really helped a lot. My impression of Guilty Gear X is that it's a lot show and some go ... and that's not my steelo. Thanks again everyone!

I don't think their is any question that Last Blade 2 will make it. SOMEONE will pick it up...

After all, alot of people thought Bangaioh and Record of the Lodoss War wouldn't make it.

Capcom is running out of shit to bring here so maybe they'll do something about a Vampire Savior game also.

chimpmeister is right.
LB is the only SNK fighting game I don't like. Don't ask me why. I've played every single SNK fighting game but I can't get into LB. Weird....maybe I should play more.

I got LB 2 and GGX on the same day, Played GGX first and couldnt stop. I accually didnt play LB 2 till the next day cause GGX was so fun. Anyways LB 2 on the DC is great, It looks BETTER than the neo CD version, The colors are brighter for one, And the load times are non existent.

I cant comment on the Arcade/Cart version of LB 2 cause I havnt played it, But I can bet the DC version is identical if not ebtter looking than that.

I also cannot comment on LB2 for the Arcade/Neo cart, but I have to say I like LB2 on the DC. Not as much as the original on Neo cart, mind you, but its still a lot of fun. Load times are fast, and the graphics are solid. Word to the wise, the LB games are can be VERY difficult and have a steep learning curve. Give them time and you will find a very rewarding game, though! Give it a try.
