My wife bought a Kickman cab last week and she is very proud of her new purchase. the cab is in great shape and the game is really fun. The only problem with the cab is that after about 30 minutes the cab will reset itself. I can hear a slight whinning, but I can't tell where it is comming from. I am not sure if that is how the cab is suppose to sound. There is also, slight static in the speakers, just before the music will start playing. Does anyone know of a good site that deals with older cabs from the early eighties? Any suggestions?

Could be the:

1. PSU.
2. PCB
3. Isolation Transfomer.

I'd replace #1,3 and Clean up #2.

There was another question like this a couple days ago. Don't know if it will help you but it sounds just like that one...

Older Bally games have a battery on the Linear power supply PCB. If this is there remove it and clean up any damage that exists. This problem affected many games including tron. Start there and see if it fixes the problem. Could also be a heat issue.

You can also try the forums at klov.com there are a few guys who are pretty good at the older non-jamma games

Apparently the old Midway cabs are very sensitive to the ammount of power coming off of the power supply. I addjusted the voltage back and now the cab will play for hours. I hope this info can help someone in the future. ;)
