Are the 4-slot and 6-slot control panel overlays the same? I'm going to redo my cab, but I've only seen oveerlays for the 4-slots.

don't think so. i've been looking at an ebay auction that said that the overlay was for a 6 slot cab only and that it would not fit a 4 slot.
thinking about getting one myself, but what's more important to me is the quality, since many on ebay are said to be crap.

Nope. The 6 slot is much wider. BTW, don't bother with the cheap reproduction overlays either. Make sure you get an NOS one that is made of the plastic lexan/plexi-glass material. I've seen quite of few reproductions on eBay that are advertised as "NEW". Very misleading since it is new but not original NOS (new old stock) new.

How would I go about printing directly to plexiglass?

Quartercircleforward does this with their sticks.

I don't think it's actually plexi-glass but I wasn't sure of the actual name of the stuff. As for printing on a similar type material, you'll need to have the right equipment to reverse print on the backside. Some print shops can do it but I'm guessing it will cost a fortune to do.
