Is the -5V connection needed to get sound out of the RCA jacks on a cps2 board? I'm talking about the built in, red and white jacks.

Thanks.

NOPE

Don't need it for anything on CPSII.

If your having sound problems:

1. Check the chute type settings
2. TURN THE VOLUME ALL THE WAY UP (IT's dreadfully low)
3. Use an amp if you are trying to power speakers.

I tried turning the volume up but that didnt help, I think what is it is that my game has demo sound off, and I havent made the controller connections yet so I cant change this.

It's probably the chute type settings. You can short the coin pin to ground to see if it is the demo settin.

Either way, you need to wire up the controllers to diagnose said problem.
