I'm building a cocktail cabinet and have decided to have a PC, Dreamcast and an Atomiswave in it and was looking for thoughts on what the best way to wire it all up would be.
I'll be using a PC monitor which I believe would make things alot easier as all 3 systems can output VGA.
I'm thinking that the best way to wire up the PC and Dreamcast would be something like:
Controls wired to an I-Pac or similar.
I-Pac connected to a KVM
PC connected to I-Pac and Dreamcast connected to I-Pac via ps/2 or usb converter.
Both systems VGA connected to the KVM.
Both systems will have headphone jacks so sound is no problem.
That seems the easiest way but I'm not sure if I can get more than one player working on the Dreamcast..
As for the atomiswave I'd need to wire the controls to a Jamma harness. Do sound and video still need to be wired? Will I be able to power it from the PC psu or would I be safer using an arcade one? I probably wont be adding the Atomiswave for a while but it's probably best to do all of the wiring for it now so that I can plug it in the minute it arrives
