I bought mine from excellentcom.net for $228 + ship and IMO, it was worth every penny! Don't get me wrong, I think they could have made it better and things I think they should have left out, but I think that about a lot of sports games. I played it for a long time and just swapped it out for giant gram 2000, but really want to put it back in
I lengthened the time limit, so I can slow down the pace to regular basketball. I would much rather walk the ball up the court and pitch it in to the post up man, then speed down the court and launch 3's or drive. I like things technical and this game allows you to go both ways. You can play it run and gun to a point or go my route and work it in and out like real B-ball. Only thing I don't like is the auto switch on defense (it switches you to the closest guy automatically) other then that, I would have to say it's a great game! Not to mention they have the rosters where it's Kobe, Shaq, Horry, Fisher, and Rice

So, would you compare it to NBA 2k? The original 2k rocked my socks! The bolded part made it sound more arcadey than 2k... Would you consider this a good thing?
I'm kinda between this or MvC2...
I have the game as well and it is hands down one of my favorite games and IMHO the best arcade BBall game I've played. The gameplay is good, the mechanics and as mentioned before the rosters are spot on. It is a good party game as well. People are drawn to it like flies on poo.

As far as this and MvsC2...they are 2 completely different worlds. If you are in the hunt for MvsC2, I would go that direction and grab Virtua NBA later if possible. I would rather have the NBA game, but I have never been a MvsC2 fan anyways....so that's an easy choice for me.

normally there are 8 terminals that people play from and each one has it's own motherboard, then there are 2 screens in the front and each one has it's own mother board then they are all linked together. I wonder how it works when you only have only one game and one control panel...you might want to ask around before you buy a one person setup. But if it's possible to do one player, that ebay auction that gamejunkie posted up looks really nice because you get the card reader and control panel and everything. Idk...All I know is it is VERY addicting!
btw here's some screens I took when I was at the Seaside arcade this summer.
the first one is what you see on the terminal and the other one is of the screen up in front.
