I'm thinking of building a cocktail cabinet primarily for Atomiswave. I'm a bit unsure about what kind of monitor to use..

As Atomiswave has a vga out I'm thinking that a PC monitor would make life alot easier in terms of wiring, etc.. But would it be possible to use other Jamma boards with it? I'd probably want to get a PGM one day..

Another option would be a TV. As I live in England most TVs here can accept an RGB signal. But is it safe to have a standard TV laying down?? Would I be able to play Atomiswave stuff in high res?

I'm not too sure about using a real arcade monitor as I already have a TV and various monitors I could use and have no idea where I'd actually get an arcade monitor anyway..

If you use a PC monitor you will not be able to use almost every other game pcb. There are some newer games coming out w/ hi-res RGB support though.

W/ a standard tv or reg. arcade monitor you will not get hi-res on the atomiswave, but will have much better board support.

cheers,
