My Neo Turf Masters Bootleg :(

Received my Neo Turf Master from Yaton yesterday. I got my roll of paper towel, box of Q Tips and Alcohol all set up to clean it, along with Super Sidekicks 3 I threw into the deal since it was so cheap...

The Turf Master case was pristine, like brand new and the contacts were immaculate, clean as can be. I found that pretty odd. When I plugged it into my 4 slot, I got lines all over the display. I gave it another cleaning, still no luck.

Brought it into work today and disassembled the cart... sigh. One board has 2 EEPROMs and is filled with MX Flash Chips. What a disappointment.

I hear Yaton is good about exchanges but man I am bummed about having to send it back.. (A) because I hate shipping anything internationally, filling out paperwork is not my thing and (B) I am just worried he'll turn around and sell it to someone else who is unsuspecting...

Yaton is so bad with English that it is hard to teach him how to spot bootlegs, but if you tell him one is a bootleg, he'll exchange it or refund it. He won't sell bootlegs if he knows they are.

Eeeaash. .That's the first Neo Turf Master I've ever seen ...and not working too..,man that sucks.

If you let Yaton know/send him those pics .. he may not even request you to return it..He may send you another or refund it..(I guess this depends on the $$ amount)

He sent me another cart once in replacement for a cart that had sound problems without me sending it back.
It was only a $12.00 cart but I didn't want to go through sending it back from the US.
I was going do just say the heck with it and buy another cart when one popped up..(he had no more listed)
Then..I told him about the problem and he offered to replace the cart for just the shipping cost...(Shipping from him to me)
I had won some other games from him when this happened so I added $5.00 for him to ship me the replacement cart with the others and it all worked out.
A 12 dollar cart became a 17 dollar cart but still sooo worth it.

He's cool...I just figure he doesn't know what a boot is yet..

Just tell him he sent you you a boot. James will always sort you out if he's sent you a boot.
