I was playing Halo 2 today, and saw some truly retarded things.

One player (on our team as luck would have it) kept KILLING himself to downrank.
:very_ang:
WTF is the point of that? Why would you even bother playing if you want to stay at the same rank? Not to mention completely fucking over your teammates.

Online gaming is almost like retail, it would be great if it werent for the fucking asshole customers/other players.

LOL

Have you played any modders yet?

Stuff like this is why I quit playing Halo 2. It was impossible for me to rank up with all the team killers, suiciders, modders, standbyers, and just plaing dumb people. Most of the time it would be best if I was the only person against 4.

And then there are players on 3S that crank up the lag when they start getting their asses beat. Great stuff.

God yes it does. That's why I haven't even bothered picking up the Halo 2 map pack. I'll still play people I know in 3S or a sports game on occasion, but playing with at least 4-6 idiots I don't know on the other team in Halo 2...

Can't take it anymore.

What sort of modders are there on H2? I've heard a few people saying theres loads of modders on there, I guess I must be lucky and not come across any yet, or any that Im aware of

I finally experienced one of those D-wankers last night. Big WTF there. Every time I asked him what the purpose of downranking was he'd just say "dude, just quit". Screw that, I play to have fun, I don't care if I'm down I'm playing till end if I feel there's a chance to win. And we would have if the D-wanker wasn't on my squad. I ejected him and his -10 after a betrayal. The fourth guy on my squad quit about three minutes into the match after he saw what the pole-smoker was doing, so it was just two on four with five minutes to go.

Final score was like...50-25. With two on four and a neg ten I'd say that's not bad.

It also seems that the talent pool has lessened. A majority of these level 20-30 players should actually be around single digit-like levels. Most games I had double the kills of any other player.

All I know is that I can't wait for the matchmaking blocker on the 360. That list had better hold up to a thousand folks cuz I'm gonna fill it quick with jerk-offs like this.

...bitches...

You know... I can't really agree too much with you on this one. I don't do the whole suicide mission thing on Halo as much as I do with Counter-Strike. I know people take Halo way too seriously, but I know it ruins the fun when people do that shit. I mainly stick to messing around on CS with the suicide missions and team killing sprees =)

Last time I played Halo 2 the other team kept throwing the bomb into the building to where we couldn't get it. It was the biggest bullshit thing ever. Haven't played since, and haven't really had the desire to either.

Halo series is the most over rated shit ever. IMO MOH Rising Sun has that shit beat. Its more fun and the maps arent a mile long.

I can never see myself as a serious fps fan.

I love my fps shooters, especially online, but I will admit where there are times when I come off from a game on H2 and just think "wtf happened there, thats bullshit" and turn it off and itll be a good few weeks before I go back to it, and thinking about it, the last time i was on H2 was about 2months ago and I havnt missed it all

I don't get Halo 2 at all. I'm horrible at it, and maybe that's part of it, but I mostly just play so I can clown around with some of the n-g.com crew.

Halo 2 suffers from over use of things. Theres just to much variety to kill each other... Makes it chaotic imo.
