I love the last blade, really i do, its got ace graphics, deep gameplay and quite a fair bit to do, BUT!
You really cant beat SS2's 4 cards for each character, its awesome characters, the split personalities. Ace.

Yeah, SS2 might not have the presentation or nice sprites of LB2, but the game has so much more replay for me. :)

NeogeoPocketColor. Last Blade for me. There were so many things to unlock and it was like a compilation of the two.

But none of the games held a candle to SvC which was just amazing. A friend and me carried our NGPC everywhere for 6 months glued to the damn thing. So many unlockables and the mini games....

No, he means NGPC. This was the Pocket Forum exclusively at one time you know.

Last Blade is definately the more enjoyable for me than SS!2.
Last Blade has the story to keep you tied in. Though the points get boring after a while.

But Samurai Shodown! 2 tries to be far too much.
It has the Slash and Bust modes, which is okay.
Moves are okay, but rounds aren't very challenging.
The story seems to be borrowed from the H64 series?
I'm just not into collecting cards so there just isn't a lot to draw me into this game.

lb> ss2, only becuase i like the lb characters better and SS2 didn't have practice mode which was kinda stupid.

There practically is, put it on easy and the computer struggles to perform a move :emb:

Yeah but it's still piss ass annoying to practice combos and shit, i also wish getting the cards was less of a chore, having to play with every character is tedious and beating the game over and over only to get the same damn card 10 times irritated the hell out of me, it was the same way in SVC motm, unlocking the characters was both a blessing and a curse. On a closing note Setsuna> anyone in SS.

Last Blade easily wins, it just has better play. It's still my favorite fighting game for the pocket. Good amount of things to unlock, a couple of really good mini games, and the best combo system.

Samurai Showdown is better...

Can you believe it I still haven't played Last Blade for NGPC. As far as Samurai Showdown man! is beautiful it has miniture scenes and the character control is simple and effective. Not to mention the cards that can be acquired. Why haven't I played Last Blade. For one I bought it for $50 bucks it was a UK version complete and all and it was stolen from my mail box. Ever since then I told the courier to hold my shit. Since I did spend all the money on Last Blade, I wouldn't pay more than $27 for another complete UK version. :D

I don't think SS translated as good as LB to the pocket

I mean, it's OK, but LB played nearly like it's big brother counterpart

Has anyone seen the SS vs. LB mugen game? I knew someone a few years back that had tossed one together. It was extremely well done, pretty balanced actually.. I've lost track of the guy that made it, if anyone has it or knows where to get it, post it up here...

LB is my favorite NGPC fighter next to MotM. SS2 was my 1st NGPC fighter I ever owned, and it was good, but LB is more playable and fun to me.
