PS2 / DVD Player Region Hack?

Not sure if this is the correct forum, but I wondering if anyone has a region hack for a USA old style PS2?

I am in a class this semester that is going to be showing alot of non-usa region dvds and I cannot make the screenings so I am trying to find a way to watch them on my own system(s).

Also, along the same line of questioning, what is the easiest and most efficient way to play imports on a PS2?

Consequently, does anyone know a region hack for a Samsung HD850?
