I know there are plenty of these around but I would like to pay one of you guys to design a cart sticker and insert for me. I am really not fond of the way game is spelles on the Insert & Cart Sticker. I am looking for something spelling out the games name in English lettering. It looks weird with all of my other carts in English and that 1 cart that isnt. Anyway, I would gladly pay someone for their time. The creator will get full credit. I would just like to have copies of each file so that if I ever have to remake an insert, I can just take my disc to Kinkos. I will, in no way, sell these inserts to anyone and will direct all interested people to the artist who creates these for me.

Phillip,

Just wanted to post the one I have on file. It has the weird logo/lettering, but it's the only one I have.

I'll make it for you for free if you give me the proper dimensions. All the AES inserts on my site are different, so I don't know which one to go by. I'll need the sticker dimensions also. I don't have any AES carts to measure myself.

How's something like this:
gururintext.jpg

Thats perfect. That is exactly what I was looking for. Any chance you could do that to the front of the insert also? I would like to compensate you for your work. I sure as hell dont know how to do this stuff.

Okay here is the insert. I can change it if you don't like it. If you are okay with this, I'll go on to the cart sticker. If the template I used is right, this should fit perfectly (12.885 in. x 8.227 in.). Click on the thumbnail to download the full sized PDF insert.

Sorry, I didn't see this before I posted it. I was afraid you were going to ask that. It will be tougher, but I'll work on it.

As far as compensation, none is needed. I love the Neo community and enjoy helping people out. I'm tired of everybody only caring about themselves and only doing favors if it can benefit them somehow.

Let me know what you think of the whole insert, and I'll work on getting the cover into English. I won't have it done tonight though.

the font looks a bit basic, imo.

It's really about the best I can do. I never claimed to be good with Photoshop. I waited to see if anybody was going to help Phillip out, and nobody stepped forward, so I did. If you have any specific advice, please let me know. I don't know how to make the words less "basic." Sorry this sounds really bitchy, but I don't mean it to be.

nah ... the colors are ok. it's just the font that could look a bit more exotic to match the japanese one.

a few links :

Cool, thanks for the links. I'll see what I can do. I'm really not going to put massive amounts of time into this though because I'm really busy right now. Plus this game sucks. Ha!

Oh, Phillip, I still going to work on getting the English title in the cover so hang on a bit.

these are only the first few matches that google came up with. i'm sure that there are better sites that host even more free fonts.
having a couple different fonts installed is a good thing imo.

I have a couple hundred fonts, but this one just seemed the most "bubbly."

Eddie,

I like the way the insert looks. Man, I have been wanting to get this done for a looong time. You all make these inserts look easy to do. Too bad I wouldnt even know where to begin. Guess I'm just a lazy boy.

Hi, I'm in the process of trying to get a scan of the art I wanted to use for this and refuse to make one until I do :) same goes for a few others but I'm almost finished my POP'BOUNCE. Taking me a long time because I hade to do some special editing (hand draw with mouse, ugh).

Just get Photoshop and start messing around. It's not that hard. I have had no training or no background what so ever. I'm really not the artist type either. I'm back in school now, but I was an electrician. I like carpentry and working on my house. I like playing in dirt and grilling. I'm really not very artsy. I just wanted inserts that didn't exist and started screwing around with PhotoShop. It took me a while, and I still suck at it, but I'm getting better. You can do it too!

I'm downloading Photoshop 7.0 as we speak. Is there anything else I should get to try my hand at making inserts?

Looks like the original Gururin FONT is using the STROKE command which is a way to outline the lettering and gradient fill.
I like the font you chose but the lettering should mimic the original(be less formal) imo.
I have hand drawn and or plotted with a mouse for many, many years on a fluke..

So, yeah, here's my attempt at remaking the Gururin logo in English. I think it mimics the style of the original pretty closely.

I don't really know anything about working with PDFs, etc. to create a full insert/sticker, but somebody else is welcome to slap something together with this, as long as they aren't getting paid using it.

Okay. I'm done with the insert. I didn't change the font. I just don't have that much time right now. I think it looks alright though. Let me know if you like it Phillip. If you do, I'll make a cart sticker for you also in the same style. Click the pic below to download the full sized PDF insert. I have it on my site as well.

Ah, shit. That's nice. I hope somebody uses it. I don't think I want to redo mine though. I guess if Phillip really wants it I will. Damn I hate this game and I don't even own a home system! Come on, somebody show me up and use Neon_Sonic's awesome title image!

There were a few things bothering me about it, though, so here's a slightly improved version.
