Guys,

Just wanted to say that a MV-1F will run off of an AES's power supply!

Not too surprising. You only need 5V for the 1-slots as it is. Even the 2-slot. What's the main benefit to not using the SC200?

While we're showing consolized 1F's:

I'm gonna have to second that... although I'm getting a MV-1B in the coming day or 2, the information can be somewhat useful to me. I am still deciding whether to build a supergun or just consolize... I haven't done either before, but the only problem is with the wiring, and not soldering.

Thanks for any help.

Uh, duh... This is nothing new.

Running the MVS boards from 5v alone has been covered here on several occasions. Be it an AES 5V adapter, a 3rd party adapter, it's old info.

Many. Most people doesn't have a sc200 and can't buy it at the shop next door (extra true for non-US people). A 5V only is smaller, cheaper, easier to get (actually many people already own one) and the power plug connector is also smaller and simpler. Also the sc200 is quite bulky as it is.
