If any folks are interested here's a link to my album which contains pictures of my recently completed 4 player supergun:
http://community.webshots.com/album/432195068uXVNXi

Light and compact it is not, but it was designed for ease of use for 4 player home arcade action. It uses the Neo Bitz for the video output and was designed for storing smaller PCBs inside during use.

If anyone attended Otakon 2K5 they might have seen it running 'Wild West Cowboys of Moo Mesa'. Never got around to putting out 'Sunset Riders'.

It held up pretty well save for Friday night since like a dummy I put it out without remembering to really tighten down all the kep nuts on the joysticks... But I fixed that and it ran like a champ all day Saturday.

Design wise the only snag was that I can't seem to get the Konami boards to sync properly with the component output of the neobitz with or without the sync separation(note I have only tried with Sony TVs and monitors). S-video looked great and composite looks like... well 'composite' =)

Hey that's some great work there Green!! Great backing graphics on the control panel overlay and the electrical work looks great too, very neat and resolved! ;)

The only thing I would say is that the push button layout looks like it could be awkward for some games but still, it's all real stylish :buttrock:

Hats off to ya man!

Thanks for the comments guys.

The button layout is awkward I would agree. But the kicker is that this was a brand new old stock NBA Jam deck. The overlay and button holes were actually already all drilled and in place.

I really wasn't super crazy about the button layout. But since the deck was new I just didn't have the heart to fill it and redrill it. It also already had nice artwork on it for the various players and a 4 color scheme to distinguish them. So I just did the conversion work from NOS NBA Jam deck into a new 4 player super gun deck.

As big as it is, it actually was a bit of a pain to get everything laid out in it to allow it to store PCBs and provide proper clearance.

I like a big power supply so I used one of the standard type switching supplies, instead of something smaller and more compact from Jameco. I had to rout the deck 1/4 deep around where the joysticks mount so that I had 1/4 clearance over the supply from the first player stick(though I did all 4 sticks for good measure).
