I just got this today in the mail. it had a fake label in english taped over a japanese label. I'm guessing it is a boot because it has that jumper correct?

as it appeared when I opened the package:

ok, thanks. I haven't tried it yet since I want to give it a good cleaning before I pop it in my 2 slot and thats when I noticed that jumper.

Just to satisfy my curiosity , can you post up a macro shot of the chip id's .. just a snap of the one with that decoupling cap is fine.

I'll try to get a nice clear shot of it 1st thing in the morning. I'm still having a hard time with this camera and it taking nice clear pics indoors. I'll try a few shots in the morning on my porch and see how that works since the photos of my car turned out pretty good. plus I'll upload at another site so my pics don't get compressed as much as they did this time.

Other than the soldering on the board, *looks* fine.

Probably just a repair job.

What kind of camera do you have? If you go into the settings, it will be near the quality settings.

Look for "macro" and set it to ON, set the board down where there is a lot of light and get as close as you can to the chip and take the shot holding as steady as possible.

Yeah, can't read the chips still. But it does look legit.
