Yeah, theres only one thing I think of when I hear that term.

I'm starting a new nazi regime soon, wanna join in? We got some better players, would you believe not a single one is jewish?

Honestly though, I agree with this thread. I've found 'crew' to be a good enough replacement. You cannot live the word clan down because everyone thinks "Holy shit, this nigga is talking about the KKK"

Where the hell did that come from?

Also, The Queef Inhalers is the best clan to ever exist.

When I met up with a bunch of SRK peeps, the guy invited me in. Apparently the bulk of their crew is in Virginia, and this guy moved here and is trying to setup a foundation in Oklahoma. As a matter of fact, he called me last night and told me that he was talking with a production company who plans on capturing casuals, tournaments, interviews, and there's supposed to be the Oklahoma championships this December that they want to get and make for a dvd. I'm a little fuzzy on the details, but I'm going to a gathering tonight and I'll find everything out for sure. That shit sounds awesome though.

I was never part of no online clan but back home in Mississippi I was part of a crew called "South Coast Uprising" and we were the best in our state(we had 2 top ranked players to make it that way).

Currently everybody sucks in My immediate area, but i'm the "unnofficial" member of the German "Fellbach Dojo", a Crew who reps Fellbach/Stuttgart. Shitty part is they live 3 1/2 hours away. GUTTED.

LOL, clans. I Just crack up everytime I hear that. Back in the day sooo many geeks would ask me to join their clan.

The crew in VA he's referring to, i'm one of them. The guy that's running the whole TFZ thing, all his gatherings were fuckin' awesome somewhere in my house I got some videos of some casual TFZ 3S matches straight from my living room.

I can imagine that it's going real big in Oklahoma, from the phone conversations I had with Rick "LiSyaoran3063" since he got back to OK. I admit, it may be better than it was in Virginia. Team Forcez in VA was started in an area (my hometown to be exact) where good to better competition at 2-D fighters came far and few between compared to the "superior" competition base in Richmond, any part of Virginia just right on the Atlantic, and the Northern Neck of Virginia, hell sometimes players from Maryland came to Richmond almost every weekend. For us it kinda tanked because several of our good players moved away, we wanted to show Richmond that Petersburg could have something going on too. But that's not over yet, over the past couple of months I've met a few new locals that gave me a run for my money at 3rd Strike.

As a matter of fact, click this link to see what it's like in VA. It's actually the trailer for a DVD of a Team Forcez tournament we threw in Richmond last December. But we had to put the axe to it due to poor video compression. What a shame, had the DVD came out, it would've been only 6 bucks.

It's hard to get it going in Oklahoma because one major thing: Most of the Oklahoma players aren't that punctual. That's one thing Rick and I noticed when we tried to meet up with the "best of the best" OK crew. We ended up searching around Norman for a good 2 hours trying to find the place where we were supposed to meet, and the phone number one of the guys gave us was dead, so we were wondering if these guys even wanted to get something going. When we found everybody, it was 3 hours after the meet time and the head guy organizing everything didn't even show up. At all.

That's not to take away from the fact when Rick was hosting a big get together at his place that everybody showed up except the main OKC crew, who showed up 5 hours late after everything had pretty much been played and Rick had plans to do other stuff that day.

However, we are still talking about the tournament taking place later this month. This will be the tournament that will tell if people are really wanting to get something going out here. I mean, I understand people have obligations with work/school and such, but don't commit to something if you even have the slightest doubt of making it. These guys are batting 0 for 2 right now. You should've seen how mad I was when we were in Norman. I fucking took the day off of work to play casuals with a few people, when we expected a team tournament in Third Strike.

There's only so much Rick and I can do. It's a shame too, because wherever Rick and I went we dominated in what we played. With a bit of patience, we could've helped a lot of people out here up their game, but it's not like they even care (or what they've shown so far).

Heh something similar happened with us when he was here in VA. Took a 2 hour drive to Blacksburg VA (further southwest of Roanoke) only to see there was only a couple of people and no tournament, cuz people from NC were calling saying they couldn't make it. Originally we were going to round robin, but instead we made the best out of our disappointment by just downgrading it to competition day and played 3S, #R and Isuka all night.
