I had an English D bios and wanted a Japanese advanced one, so I downloaded the Jap G bios (from sega-naomi.com, so it isn't that useless) and ordered the blank eprom at cosmicco, then I had it burnt for a fee at my local electronics shop, they have a big eprom burner.

There are people on ther who can do this, like my tech mod Andygeezer, but he's in the UK, if you dealt with people outside the US you whould be O.K

Damn I hope not all Brits are as nasty as you then I would have a reason for not dealing outside my own borders which is associated strictly with shipping reasons not tust of any kind. In addition to that the cost of shipping from outside the U.S might not make it worth it, when someone charges you $40 to $50 shipped for a bios from the U.K when you could have just bought a whole new motherboard for $80 with the needed bios make international shipping not worth it. Why are you so fucking defensive of sega-naomi. God damn it its just a mother fucking site who give a shit what someone thinks of its content. Calm the fuck down.

mainman said:Ok it your site that explain your defensive stance, I gathered it was your site in the other forum just a minute ago. Sorry then, but did you have to call me a stupid yank fuck. You could have just stopped at try making your own damn site then but then you got just offensive and as such I got ignorant. I generally try to get along with others in the community.

I really think it is a great forum where the members truely are out to help eachother. I have gotten technical info I could find no where else there so your above statement is unfair and untrue. I for one appreciate the site and feel lucky to be a member there. Very few things in life are free but I guess there always has to be a complainer.mainman said:Buying the eprom is not a problem, getting ahold of the bios firmware is not a problem. Burning the firmware to the chip = problem. Unlike in your situation I can not walk in a electronic shop and have my chip burned. The chip max I use only supports 40 pins.
Amano Jacu said:Well, that's your problem, not mine, and definately not sega-naomi's. Just buy a better eprom burner or an adaptor for yours, or wait for somebody in your country to be able to sell one to you. Or just buy a spare mobo. So many options.
dogtoy said:I would be glad to burn it for you.
No way to test it (other than making sure that the data on the chip correctly matches the rom image with my progammer) since I don't have a naomi. If you want to mail me an eprom (or pay for one and have it shipped to me), tell me where I can download the bios rom, and then I will burn it for you and send it to you for the exact cost of return shipping plus $4.
cheers,

dogtoy said:Yes, we have it all worked out via PM now. I'm going to burn it for him as soon as he send me the chip.

peap said:I have a stock of naomibios-, naomi2bios and stv dualbios-eproms (complete with mounted switch) for instant programming and shipping.
Both of the above are $23,50 shipped each.
I'm also able to help out with erasing/programming all the most common eproms to for example change languages on pcbs or checking that graphic roms are ok.
Contacting me on samel@snutt.net is the fastest way.
