Well, with the added stuff into the 2.0 firmware, odds were that they opened up some new doors. Anything can be broken given enough time.
Honestly, I wasn't to impressed with running homebrew on my PSP. Not only was most of it slow and required frameskip (which I hate), the low refresh of the PSP LCD gave some pretty bad ghosting in games. Castlevania titles especailly.
I ended up updating to the 2.0 firmware because I noticed dead pixels popping up on my PSP. I promply picked up my 2 year warranty from Best Buy and got it replaced, hassle free. Second PSP, dead pixels, up on the D-pad didn't work unless pressed extremely hard, and square button is off center. Took it back, no problem. Third PSP, square button is off center, but works no problem. Two dead pixels. I'm running RGB flasher to see if it can get them unstuck, but if all else fails, Best Buy will see me again.
In short, I'm going to get a good PSP, homebrew firmware or not. Then I'll worry about playing "da roMz", as I don't think they play very well to begin with. Which is sad, since there is so little in the PSP library that interest me at the moment, and for a long time coming. Oh well, at least the DS software library is starting to get kicking.
